Reviews of B&B De Reede

I liked the B&B. It is located in a lovely area of Urk. It was close to the beachfront and lighthouse. We had the double deluxe room which met our expectations. The room is large, and has a rustic/country feel to it. The hosts were very helpful also and we made good use of the terrace front in the early mornings.

It would be even better if some of the crockery (plates and bowls) were replaced as many were chipped. I would have preferred blackout curtains over the metal blinds on the other windows to make me feel more secure that no one is looking in. The duvets were not big, it was two single duvets that could not cover you if you turned in the bed.

Cute BnB in a quiet neighbourhood. The room was great, with a big bed and a really comfortable shower. But best of all was the breakfast.

The BnB is not located in the old town and there was about a 30 minutes walk there.

Very nice host. Clean and efficient rooms

The location suited us for exploring the tulip fields around the Noordostpolder. In principal the shared kitchen facilities allowed us to make our own meals however the kitchen could do with some renovation.

The room had no proper ventilation, this would have been particularly uncomfortable in really warm weather. We could only get air by leaving the door open, which was only possible during the evening when we were sitting outside. The owners cat was wandering around and would have come in! Having windows that could open would be vital for staying there in the summer. The cupboards in the kitchen were broken and the fire alarm was missing. The owner wasn't there when we arrived even though we had extra let them know when we would arrive. We had to wait over half an hour and then phone them, only to discover they lived right next door.

Comprehensive breakfast. Modern building, secure for our bikes, close to town. Peaceful and safe environment

Hand soap needed in kitchen and bathroom.Body wash needed in shower, bath mat. Some sort of interaction with adult hosts would have been appreciated

Nice place, clean , nice garden

Breakfast was substantial...we were able to make some rolls up for breakfast...it included an omelette and bacon, ham and cheese and lots of lovely rolls and yoghurt. Room was delightful and bed was extremely comfortable. There was a lovely outside seating area overlooking the garden.

Location, ease of parking, staff, quietness

It's a 15-20 minute walk to the center, spider webs here and there, there is an aquarium type of feel in the bedroom due to the lack of curtains on each side of the building.

Great location, spacious rooms, comfy beds.

Comfort, location, pleasant hostess

very cosy family-owned B&B with nice breakfast. mattress was great, other facilities are basic and normal.

location is a bit distant from lake side, it's not a concern for us as we drive, but perhaps a concern for those not driving

Quaint and quiet, near the host but still private. Everything was as advertised. It was a short nice walk into to town and we were easily able to find a restaurant with great food. There is an option for breakfast; standard coffee, croissants and cold cuts.

There is a beam in the upstairs bedroom that I hit my head on. I don’t know what can be done about this, but the two of us sleeping upstairs hit our heads on it :(

The location. Separate from the house, yet close enough. Safe place for the motorbikes. Great neighbourhood . Very nice 👍
