How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The place is in a quiet area, but you can reach many places easily. The house is very clean and offers us a cosy stay. The host is extremely friendly, takes care of the rooms with heart. The stay was wonderful and made us feel like home.

Nothing at all. Everything was perfect during my stay.
The apartment was extremely clean, very comfortable, and well-equipped. The location was great and the overall atmosphere made me feel right at home. The host was exceptionally kind, helpful, and welcoming, the service exceeded my expectations!

Very comfortable apartment with comfy beds. Toilet/bathroom was also spacious. The host was wonderful. She contacted me before check in to ensure that I know the way there, giving clear instructions for parking. I arrived sick at the place so I spent the whole of the next day resting in the room. Thankfully the place was very quiet and comfortable so I was able to get better quickly. Breakfast was yummy. My family enjoyed it. The host was nice to give me honey for my sore throat. She was truely very kind, giving me information on where to get medicine etc.

I had an amazing experience at this B&B! The host was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. She kindly accommodated my late check-in and made sure breakfast was ready on time. Speaking of breakfast, it was absolutely fantastic with a variety of delicious options to choose from. The host even helped with a drop-off to my destination, which was so thoughtful and greatly appreciated. Overall, a wonderful stay – highly recommended! 😊

Very good combination of pricing, location, facilities. Hospitality of the host, Marjolijn, is the top. Quiet place, park nearby, bike rent good breakfast, close to grocery and railway station.

Everything was great.
Beautiful surroundings, right next to park/wood. Neighborhood is green and quiet, and the house itself is very nice. We could have breakfast outside, in front of the house. Good sized rooms and bathroom.

Exceptional friendly host, great communication and caring a lot about our happiness. The apartment was very nice and had everything we needed for a few days. The location is great to reach Den Haag, Rotterdamm, Leiden or the coastline.

The kitchen is downstairs and normally is for the ones chosing b&b option. We were allowed to take some tools from the kitchen but it felt awkward to eat on the leaving room table which was not suitable for it. Although mentioned in the booking page the washing machine can be used for aditional money only.
Nice size of the apartment although the smaller bedroom is a bit dark. Comfortable beds. Nice bathroom. Good relation with the host who provided the guidance and waiting us upon arrival. Parking available on site.

We were very warmly greeted at the B & B and delighted by how spacious and lovely the accommodation was. It was clear the host put a lot of thought into making everything warm and cozy. Breakfast the next morning was a highlight for our daughters. Thank you for a great stay! We hope to see you again sometime soon.

Cannot find anything
The kindness of our host and everything related to the apartment. Bathroom was wonderful, and the rest of the rooms had anything we might have needed, from fridge to coolers (it was a hot day). We were offered breakfast, and it was handmade and really good!

Limited public transport visible. Otherwise little to complain about. Perhaps a good map of the town might help.
Host extremely helpful and friendly with exceptional communication. Location nice and quiet with two supermarkets and a couple of food outlets nearby. Accommodation a good size and very comfortable.

This spacious apartment, located in a quiet neighborhood next to a very nice green area, it lived up to our expectations. The hospitality of the hosts made us feel at home. It was the perfect place for us to visit Amsterdam, The Hague and other interesting places nearby

stairs were wooden one so a little bit noisy and narrow but it's more than ok.
everything, especially the view during the sunset, it was really nice stay there.
