“Everything! What an exceptional place. The house is set among canals and fields and is just idyllic. Joyce and Edward were fantastic hosts, providing cake, wine and beers on arrival and a lovely gift of waffles when we left. The location was excellent for visiting Gouda, which we did twice using the bicycles provided. Leiden and Utrecht were only a short drive away (Leiden is a beautiful town/city to visit with the botanical gardens, canals and picturesque architecture) but really, everywhere we visited was lovely and the people very friendly. We were sad to leave.”
