The breakfast and hotel location plus the employees made my experience a memorable one. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody visiting Leon, Nicaragua!

There was a banging right next to our wall

The staff was super nice, specially a Gentleman who was very knowledgeable of the history of the area, he gave us a lot of facts and information without asking for it and that was really nice of him.

This was a wonderful experience. 5 star service. Large comfortable rooms. Beatiful hotel and courtyard. Outstanding huge made to order breakfast that was was the most elaborate anywhere with French press coffee. You can preorder your eggs and what time you’d like to eat and they will have it served promptly with great service.

I LOVED this hotel. This was my last night in Nicaragua and such a great decision to stay at this hotel. Highly recommend. Gorgeous hotel. Staff is lovely, attentive, and kind. Upon arriving Francisco, at the front desk, helped me fix my booking (which I made for the wrong day) and he also helped me get my taxi upon leaving (so I wasn't overcharged as a tourist) and then just enjoyed the gorgeous facilities which I needed after a long week of travel. I enjoyed the cocktails and conversation in the bar with Jose in bar and reading in the patio and the pool and the breakfast in the morning. HIGHLY recommend this lovely hotel. There is security at night in front and felt super safe and cared for as a single female solo traveler.

Please note that many (probably even most) rooms do not have windows. We were able to change to another one with a very large window to the patio. On check-in, it was very strange that we had to pay not only for the two nights we haed booked in advance, but also for a third night (check-in fee) which was later returned

Beautiful hotel in old style that had been embassy of the US long time ago. Very stylish in almost every detail, centrally located, and quite. Very friendly personnel, in particular the waiters for the breakfast, who gave us background information. Good breakfast in beautiful patio. Spacious room with high ceiling, excellent bathroom and beds (see below for rooms without windows). Convenient parking in the courtyard of another house just across the street.

This was a fabulous place to stay in Leon; very close to multiple restaurants and the main square. It is quite safe walking around at night. We had a small room next to the pool which was mostly very quiet. Lovely garden area for breakfast or evening drinks The staff were very friendly and helpful. In particular, I highly recommend Milton at the front desk, who went out of his way to help us find a private car service to our next stop in El Salvador, as our extensive Internet searches were fruitless. (See below) We really appreciate the efforts that Milton made to help us. Claudio, from ‘Transport & Shuttles Nicas’, can be found on FaceBook, and he was far better and far cheaper than other corporate car services we found and he drove us in a brand new very comfortable air con car all the way through Nicaragua across Honduras and crossed two borders to get us safely and easily into El Salvador

The satff provided an incredibly elegant expeirence in the heart of Leon. THe level of detail and service was akin to a Ritz-Carlton. Location unbeatable. Close to the main square and CAthedral. One of the best hotel experiences ever.

The food was rather bland and sometimes slightly overcooked/burnt. This is really the only negative I would say about this hotel and it certainly shouldn't put anyone off staying. There are plenty of places to eat in Leon which are extremely reasonable. I just think the kitchen staff might need to get to grips a little more with breakfasts other than a traditional Nicaraguan one. There is a French and American breakfast on offer (for a small additional fee), which was OK but needed a little work.

La Perla is a beautiful hotel right in the heart of Leon. The staff were so warm and welcoming when we arrived. Special shout out to the lovely Isaac who was really attentive and kind during our stay. The hotel is in a perfect location to explore Leon. It's only minutes away from the heart of the town. When you return back to the hotel it feels like a little oasis of peace and calm. The pool is fabulous, if a tad chilly! But the hospitality of the staff was fantastic. We felt very well taken care of. Also a shout out to the lovely Jose who is one of the drivers the hotel uses should guests need someone to drive them either to/from the airport or beyond that. He was so kind and helpful during our stay and very happy to chat with us about local history along the way. He was completely fantastic!

There was really nothing not to like, but I did think it would have been nice to get an information pack with a city map, food menu and times, local info etc. I know you can use Google, but I just would have found it useful.

The property is so beautiful and the room was very cute and comfortable, with everything we would need. The staff, especially Isaacs and Miguel were just wonderful, they made us feel so welcome and were helpful with us trying to practice our Spanish! The breakfast was great and served in a gorgeous courtyard. We enjoyed time playing pool in the bar and having a dip in the pool. The location was ideal we could walk everywhere in town easily and felt safe.

Our room was comfortable, but it was lacking a window. It seemed to be the only room that didn't have a window so this may be unusual, but did surprise us.

The entire staff at Hotel La Perla was incredibly hospitable. Armando in particular, always greeted us and went above and beyond to make sure we had a drink and a positive experience, we also saw him make special centerpieces for a group celebrating at the restaurant. The breakfast was delicious, and both the servers and front desk team were incredibly attentive. The property is beautiful and perfectly located, within walking distance of everything.

Excellent breakfast, friendly staff and amazing location. The room was quiet despite a festival was going on for 2 days in Leon. A full breakfast was served at the courtyard. We were served French pressed coffee, which we truly appreciate. Thanks La Perla.

Our room didn't have a window in the main room, only a small window in the bathroom. We had a room with double beds and saw the other rooms with one bed and they had windows. Wasn't too bad but would have preferred window.

A beautiful properly in the heart of the city! The staff provided an amazing service, the best hosptial we’ve had in Central America! The rooms are slightly out dated but very clean and comfortable with very large beds. Fantastic hot water showers! Breakfast is lovely and the service for this is amazing
