Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe rooms are a good size & well equipped with mini bar, safe box, a/c , hair dryer, tv with Netflix, & lots of storage areas. The hammocks upstairs are super comfy. The included breakfast was excellent, safe parking for rental car. I liked that we were right across from the lake, it was only a 10 minute walk to the centre of Granada. The day staff are super friendly & helpful.

United StatesBe prepared for the authentic and rustic nature of the property. There are no blankets, just sheets, and the beds are very firm. Due to the humidity, there can be musky smells. The club next door does play music but can be mitigated with white noise or ear plugs easily. Deep sleepers won’t even notice.
Property is clean, authentic and charming. They have bikes available to use which were awesome to use. The staff is incredible and do everything possible to help you. WiFi worked perfectly and the air conditioning did too! Hammocks to lounge upstairs were so fun and nice to use. Location is amazing. Right along the boardwalk and the main tourist street. You can easily find food and parks and quite a lively night life! We were here during Christmastime and Granada had a festival happening with lights and live music. So charming!

SpainI think it is in need of renovation- replastering and painting. Our room had grubby walls, and dimmer lighting than we are used to. Otherwise a very pleasant and comfortable stay.
Very well equipped, friendly trustworthy staff and good breakfast. They provided a mosquito net on request. Bikes included in the price. Had a tv and aircon.

United StatesI feel like Granada is so beautiful and there’s so many unique and beautiful stays that this hotel by comparison is nothing special. The hotel staff were accommodating, but it was pretty vacant when we were there and staffs presence wasn’t really felt.
The rooms were very spacious and I like that air conditioning was included at no additional cost. The bed was comfortable and the place is located right next to the boardwalk. There is private gated parking if you have a car.

South AfricaSuper host who is excited to attend to his guests. This hotel is good value for money with aircon, small gym, free bicycles, and a full breakfast. The breakfast included coffee, juice, fruit, and típico Nicaraguan breakfast. It's right by the lake with restaurants nearby. Taxis to the center square cost 30 córdobas or it's an easy 15-minute evening walk. There are restaurants close to the hotel. I would recommend this hotel.

AustraliaThe room was older and little hot water. In Nicaraguan climate. It didn't affect us
The room was clean. The staff went out of their way to help. The hotel offered a good breakfast. Bikes to borrow. Although It was out of the centre of town. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and walking to see the highlights. The boat cruise on sunset to the islets was enjoyable.

United StatesThe hotel is great and the staff is wonderful. The hotel is a little way from the city center so if you want to stay where the "action" is you will be about a 15-20 minutes walk from the city center. But the walk was pleasant and the hotel is right in front of the boardwalk which is great for a morning/afternoon walk.

United StatesMy room had a water leak from the rain that got my things wet. But I was moved to a different room immediately.
I liked this hotel and the staff so much, I stayed a couple extra nights. Eric is an incredibly hard working, kind, helpful person. I asked for a recommendation for a LAST MINUTE tour to Ometepe Island, and within half an hour on a Sunday, he made it happen. The location is near the water, nice to walk around even at night. On the 2nd floor there is a nice view and hammocks to rest. Peaceful, except for some drum practice in the evenings, which was great. The breakfasts were wonderful and gigantic: eggs, ham/bacon, fruit, beans & rice, bread, juice and coffee/tea, sometimes pancakes. A sweet kitty a part of the family. Good Wi-Fi and AC. Not a far walk to restaurants and the main square of the Cathedral. Also not far from beach area where they do the islet tours.
