Unfortunately, there is no water filter tower to refill your bottle. Also, it would be good if windows had mosquito nets, as the rooms are rather hot and this would allow you to leave the windows open at night without a mosquito invasion. You can however get an AC in the room for a small extra charge.

Nice and very helpful hosts. You can book everything at the reception from a volcanotour to cross-border shuttle buses. Good location in walking distance to the main attractions of León. Quiet place and no 'party-hostel' like other places (even though there is a pool table). Nice open/outdoor kitchen that you can use. Clean rooms, clean towels. Overall, a very good value for money.

Super lovely hostal and hosts! They were extremely welcoming and helpful. The location is 5 min from the centre which is good for a walking tour. The accommodation was super clean with a lovely communal area and great kitchen.

Would be good to have room with separate beds (some people are just friends and would prefer separate beds). Hot! Usage of air conditioning would be good (you have to pay extra for that).

Cash only, seems common in Nicaragua hotels. Minor issue: We booked a private room without aircon. Actually the particular upstairs/end room allocated really isn't viable at this time of year without aircon, it was boiling inside by the evening, even though well vented and a fan. The room did have aircon as a $10 upgrade, so we paid up. They freely offered us a downstairs room next day, which was fine without aircon. I would say it was a minor issue with stock control, not a big deal, but could have been better.

Exceptionally friendly and lots of advice available. Nice kitchen, free morning coffee, & shady lounging area. No muzac. Secure though very small parking (we're on motos). Generally comfy rooms with - gasp - places to put things. Met some lovely people there, too. Location ideal.

The hostel was very welcoming. There is the use of a kitchen and you can get washing done. We had a double en-suite which was very comfortable and clean. The staff and owners are really friendly and very helpful. We loved their German Shepherd he was very friendly.

There was nothing to dislike

The location was great, facilities were clean and maintained and the hosts were kind, knowledgeable and personable. There was a lot of rain during our stay (out of the ordinary for Leon in mid November) but the hostel has a pool table, bar fridge (alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks for purchase), book corner, a kitchen and a range of small games to keep you busy. The art museum is within walking distance and also worth a visit. The street is away from the party hostels so loud music won't keep you up at night.
