I stayed here with my girlfriend for a weekend getaway and we really liked it. The hotel is right in front of the beach and it's super quiet, which was exactly what we were looking for. The sunsets are amazing and the whole place feels peaceful. The staff was nice and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a fan and good Wi-Fi. The breakfast was included and it was fresh and tasty. We also tried some of the smoothies - really qood (no soft drinks) Hotel it has everything you need to relax and disconnect. We're Nicaraguan and it's not always easy to find a place like this close to home. Definitely recommended.

The signs everywhere telling us how much we’d be charged if anything went wrong! Even on the back of the bathroom door! As it’s a classy establishment I felt this was overbearing and unnecessary.

Really well designed property, nice touches with books and chill out areas. Great breakfast. Responsive helpful staff. Comfortable bed and good bathroom.

Since it is located near a small river would be great if they had citronella torches or candles around the property for the mosquitos. I think they spray for bugs occasionally but candles in the evenings around the restaurant would help.

The location and stylish beach chic of this place was amazing, not to mention the staff are so caring and attentive. Love the yoga every day, the surf instructors, the amazing hammocks, views from the second floor and the ceviche! NYE was very special with a bonfire and sparklers. Would def return for my next surf vacay in el transito.

I had an amazing stay. The staff was very polite and always ready to help. The hotel rooms were very clean and so was the shared space. Really enjoyed my time at their nice pool. The overall vibe of the hotel is one not to miss!

Loved this hotel and it’s definitely the nicest place to stay in El Transito. The room was spacious, cutely decorated and we loved the balcony. The pool and hammocks around the property are also really nice. We enjoyed the food and staff were great. It’s right on the beach in front of the left point break wave.

There were a few mosquitoes in the bathroom when we arrived. Also I didn't like how you have to pay extra for AC. We went to another place down the road that had AC that you didn't have to pay extra for, so it didn't seem necessary. But at least they were up front about the extra cost from the beginning and didn't try to scam you or anything :)

The hotel does not provide beach towels, which seems a bit odd since it is a beach hotel. When asked for towels, the staff mentioned that they could only be used within the premises of the hotel. Although the beach side probably does not belong to the property, it would be good if they kept it cleaner of debris so guests could enjoy it more. There are no or very few places were to seat and relax by the pool. Some long chairs where to enjoy the sun would be great! Breakfast and food in general is average and maybe a bit overpriced. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of local/Nicaraguan choices in the menu, which would be nice to try as a tourist.

Cute small hotel with a beautiful location. The personnel is great, very friendly and helpful. Overall, our stay was good. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with great views. The pool is also a great place to refresh from the day heat and watch the sunset.

It's a bit of a trek from Managua and expensive to get taxi transfers, and there's only one chicken bus per day. It was nice to have hot water and A/C but the bathroom was poorly designed (shower surround was a real tripping hazard).

Beautiful place to enjoy some beachfront luxury, very chill atmosphere, lots of relaxing spots to enjoy some quiet time. Beach and waves are perfect for surfing beginners. The staff were kind in letting us hang out for a few extra hours after checkout as we had a late evening flight.

my only comment would be to maybe make the coffee earlier than 7? or maybe i am the only person waking up at 6 hahaha. But the coffee was excellent!

i am so impressed by the attentions and the beauty of this place and location. There are very few places left on the planet with this feeling of peace and rest. The village is a traditional community of fishermen and the beach is just stunning!!!! SUNSET ALERT!! A beautiful wave just at the door step literally. The room was so fresh and so many details were though of. I really enjoyed the delicious food and juices, the staff, EVERYTHING. Again the quality was stunning. I lovvvvved the fish burger so much. I travel a lot in Nicaragua and this definetly is like a vacation in a vacation.

We loved everything about Alive Beach House! The staff were so friendly. The food and drinks were delicious. The menu was nutritious and incorporated local ingredients. We also loved relaxing in the breezy common areas between surfing and yoga sessions. We would love to go back some day!
