South AfricaWhen the establishment processed the payment when the guest checked in, there was an additional amount charged to our credit card. we informed the lady thereof and sent her the proof of the deduction on our bank, but we were met with a very hostile, rude woman who refused to entertain our enquiry and blamed our bank, then blamed booking.com. however, she put the payment through on her side. The establishments account names and contact information didn't tie up to what they provided us with and thus my suspicion that there were fraudulent activities taking place. This woman then proceeded to verbally attack the guest on the last day of his stay while he was eating breakfast. This behavior is shocking, unprofessional and disappointing to a paying customer.

FinlandThe only downside was the noise from the road in front of the hotel, which could be disturbing at times. Otherwise, everything was great!
I had a very pleasant stay. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout my visit — their service-minded attitude truly made a difference. The bed in the room was very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. and the plush bedding made it especially cozy and relaxing. Breakfast was quite simple but sufficient. With a small upgrade — such as fresh bread and real juice — the overall experience could be significantly improved.

United StatesRoom was hot with no fan or air conditioning. Mediocre breakfast. No courtesy bottle of water. Unable to pay for water as staff did not have change for us.
Across from lagoon however flamingos migrate from February to May so if you are expecting to see them, plan your trip accordingly. Property was within walking distance of restaurants along the bay. Bug spray in the room. Carolyn was pleasant at checkin. A quiet guard who stood all night in front of hotel…, perhaps he could be offered a place to sit under cover???

As part of improving I think they need to improve on the breakfast and also try to cater for dinner atleast on and as and when( e.g arranging with local restaurants) Also not everyone loves dogs or is comfortable around strange dogs, we could not access the pool area because of this.

South AfricaThe bathroom in my room could do with better cleaning, too much muck on the sides and in between tiles. A change in the tiles would be good. Other then that all was excellent.
Being Vegan, there was not much option for me, but i appreciate the fact that the manager made an effort to get Almond milk for me, and there was delicious fruit salad every morning. Esther, the girl helping at breakfast is exceptional :)

The Lodge could be in better shape, really does need a make-over. It is maybe time to refelct on a new investment strategy.

FranceThe location is good but all the night activities are in Swakopmund about 30 km away from Walvis bay and the road can be challenging at night. The guesthouse is fine and the staff very friendly. You are on the lagoon so you almost can see the flamingos from your room, or just have to cross the street. Nice garden in the back.

South AfricaManager not welcoming. Showed us to room but didn't even bother to show us the garden. Gave us the key and said there was a door round the corner. No water in fridge. Hairdryer cable fixed with tape but not working. very bad rotten egg smell in the room in the morning - apparently from bay. Had a beer in the garden - served in small wine glass. Not the sort of service one would expect at the price.
