The shower could have drained better. Separate toiletries would have been nice. The dining room was heated with patio heaters and was not ventilated. Such heaters are not suitable for indoors and an alternative should be sought.

This is a lovely place for a stopover. The hotel mixes a nostalgic feel but with clean, up to date accommodation. The room was comfortable and clean. It was chilly, and the heater in the room didn't really have much effect, but the hot water bottles were a nice touch and we weren't cold. The restaurant has a classic feel and the dinner portions were very generous, perhaps even too large. Breakfast was varied and cooked to order.

Our room was very far from reception, so the wifi connection was too weak for me to receive emails, but I just walked to the bar area and got some work done there with no problems.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable, and we were surprised with chocolate and a warm-water bag for the cold night.

Great hotel with friendly staff. It seems recently renovated and rooms are modern and clean. There is a restaurant on site with good food. I liked the atmosphere. Parking is secure. WiFi was good.

The rooms are all you need the road. One minor detail: the floors are old, but restored. But ours was very noisy. Forget about sneaking in the bathroom at night without your partner noticing …

It’s a hard choice between Luderitz and Aus, but if you settle for Aus stay here. Nice rooms, a protected parking area and easy access to the main road. The restaurant and especially the staff are awesome, with pizza’s the size of Captain America’s shield and delightfull cakes the size of a shoe! A nice suprise was waiting for us just before bedtime.

We chose Aus for easy access to Ludertiz without adding extra to the days travel. It is comfortable hotel with lovely staff and a great beer garden. Breakfast was substantial and cooked to order. There is nowhere else to eat in Aus and the restaurant at the hotel served good and large meals with a bar and lounge for after or before dinner drinks. Our room was comfortable with little touches such as a chocolate on the pillow and a hot water bottle as temperatures were dropping.

Room no 1. Tiny Not for large adults. Shower room could barely fit one person. Bedroom was uncomfortably small. Mosquito net tied up in a ball and hanging down about 2 feet above us while we slept. Not nice. Nowhere to put anything in the shower room.

The hotel is conveniently located at the crossroads leading to/from Kolmanskoppe, Sussusvlei, Oranje river, or Kitsmanshoop. The facilities are clean and comfortable. The personnel are helpful and friendly. The meal at the restaurant was amazing. And there is a free parking lot in the backyard, allowing you to park your rented car safely. As a bonus, there is a fuel station almost in front of the hotel. So, just rise in the morning, get your breakfast, get your car fuel, and you are ready to continue your trip.

We were so surprised to find this jewel and really enjoyed our stay. Food was great and staff very friendly.

The lowest setting on the fan was quite overpowering already, in terms of noise especially. It was great to have a fan, but anything hair would have been too much. Also, the noise from the road is quite something - especially trucks have to change gears and accelerate right in front of the hotel.

From the first moment at reception, you feel welcomed by friendly, smiling staff. Even though it was clearly a more quiet week for them, they remained attentive and considerate. The rooms are huge, beds comfortable and facilities good. Both dinner and breakfast were very good. Dinner takes a bit longer, because they make everything from scratch, but the dinner rolls and great drinks from the bar helped a lot.

The hallway leading to the rooms is somewhat, particularly when groups without consideration for othe guests speak loudly among themselves or when on a phone

Its location at the fringes of the desertic expanse just before dipping into the emptiness towards Lüderitz is good. Good spot to stay a night when coming from the long drive from Sesriem. Nice restaurant!
