Location was great for me - just 2 minutes to the river, 5 minutes to the shopping mall, and a bit of nature along the way. Hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating - there to greet me when I arrived, there every day in case I needed anything and there when I left. I had everything I needed and more in the small room - desk for working and a sink for quick clean-up and shaving.

The walls are quite thin so earplugs are recommended to avoid wake-ups from other guests using the toilets at night.

Everything! The couple who owned it were lovely! The place was spotless and they were there to answer any questions. There were even some snacks in the room left by them. 100/10 would definitely come back!

    Nothing

This is like a homestay. There are a couple of very clean and well appointed rooms in the house of a super sweet and helpful couple (they are not always on site but always contactable). It seems a little far from Chinatown/Central on the map, but it's actually only 10-15 minutes in a grab (like 2 USD) or an easy metro ride away. It's also slightly closer to Batu Caves than central (a direct trainline). So if you prefer to stay somewhere quiet and local with everything you need to hand, this is a great option.

Best place we stayed in on all travels through SE Asia. Hosts are super nice, makes sure you have everything you need and are very responsive. They provide a drinking water, little snacks, shared fridge and freezer, washing machine and place for drying clothes. Place is incredibly clean, quiet and warm. When we stayed there they were just renovating so now every room has it's own bathroom. The double room has attached bathroom and other rooms have their own bathroom which you acsec through the hall. Can say enought good things about this place. Will stay here again, if we ever come back.

The hosts are truly lovely, they take great care of the property. The room is clean and has great amenities provided. They refresh the room every 2 days, changing your sheets and towels and doing a full clean. The hosts even offered me a late check out and a trip to the train station for free!

Nothing, this place is an excellent choice for budget travellers in KL.

    Very friendly and helpful hosts.

Perhaps a larger and thicker blanket should be provided.

Fantastic family, location, walking distance to many local restaurants, quiet area, comfortable bed. If I come back to KL I will definitely book here again.

Great value for money, clean place, friendly staff and fast internet.

The pillows were as hard as bricks, and there was sporadic chatter just outside the room. The walls and doors seemed as thin as paper. The chairs were uncomfortable, and mosquitoes were everywhere.

We value all opinions and appreciate your feedback. However, I would like to address certain misunderstandings to safeguard the reputation of our homestay. During your visit, the host couple departed the homestay early and secured the gate to ensure the safety of other guests. Upon your return, you expressed discontent regarding the locked gate, noting that it was not yet 8 PM. The situation arose due to your oversight in not bringing your key, and you opted to message us to voice your concerns about the locked gate. I would like to clarify that we are not a hotel with a 24-hour reception; rather, we are a small family-run establishment dedicated to welcoming guests from around the world. Each morning, we endeavor to unlock the gate as early as possible to facilitate guest movement. The host lady works diligently to maintain the cleanliness of the premises, and it is important to acknowledge that she has designated times for departure and rest in preparation for the following day. We lock the gate for safety purposes, and although we do have a spare key for such situations, I find it difficult to understand why you felt it necessary to express your frustration in that manner. Furthermore, we operate as a homestay offering short-term accommodations, generally ranging from one to seven days. While you initially booked a three-night stay and subsequently requested an extension for an additional week—which we graciously accepted—further requests for prolonged stays could not be fulfilled due to new guests already scheduled. You indicated that our website did not explicitly state "no long-term stays," and I perceived your tone to be somewhat discourteous. Lastly, we encourage our guests to conserve electricity when it is not in use. You left your room with the air conditioning running for 24hours over consecutive days. As a small homestay, our power supply does not match that of larger hotels, which can afford to operate air conditioning throughout the day. I aspire to expand our capabilities in the future to enhance the amenities we can offer our guests. My parents diligently manage this homestay offline and work persistently to ensure a pleasant experience for our guests. They even provide transportation to nearby stations for free to assist guests in conserving their energy for local adventures. I am not writing this to disparage you but rather to protect the reputation of my hardworking parents, who have been dedicated to this business for the past two years. Should you require a long-term accommodation suited for remote work, I recommend considering an apartment rental. Additionally, if you require 24-hour reception services, a hotel may be more suitable for your needs. Although we may not accommodate every specific requirement, we strive to provide a warm and welcoming experience. I apologize for any misunderstandings and remain committed to improving our services.

The hosts could not have been more helpful to us during our stay. The room was so clean and lovely little extras such as snacks and water left in our room. Great value for money, fantastic location out of the centre but right next to the train/monorail stop. We will definitely stay again if we return to KL.
