I don't like paying for a bathroom if I am a guest in the hotel. Granted, the bathroom is actually part of the mall and is called the executive bathroom, but I think hotel guests should be afforded a bathroom on the ground floor.

Every detail is quality! The art and decor are very tasteful throughout, the room is very spacious and the river "waterfront" views are tremendous. The breakfast is exceptional - the best buffet that I can remember in Asia. The pool is (small) but is in a nice cozy area, covered and has a great view. The water and tasty treats in the foyer are a nice Access to the mall is a big bonus. Access for jalan jalan, walking the city, was perfect. My final experience was two days after I had checked out and after dropping off my rental car on my return - I had a called a Grab and it was very late in coming. I had been hiking and kayaking and looked like it :+). I was repacking from the trip and shopping and the hotel manager and his wife came to ask me if I needed assistance and had the hotel car drive me to my other hotel closer to the airport. They were kind, gracious and caring.

They had a private event so we couldn’t use the swimming pool which was a bit of a shame, and breakfast was considerably more expensive than other similar hotels.

Fantastic location right in the historic city centre. On the club floor the staff could not have been more helpful from help with a day trip to see the orangutans and booking the airport transfer

Just being picky now. (Overall, the hotel was very nice and I would recommend it!) It could be nice with longer opening hours at the pool bar. The view of the shopping mall roof was not that nice from the non-river facing rooms. It could benefit from some green roofing in an ideal world.

The location was great: in walking distance to tons of restaurants, several sights, the river, and a direct connection to the shopping mall. Loved the breakfast, especially the fresh juice selection. Friendly staff. The view to the river from the pool area (and the rooms facing the river, if you paid for those).

Windows are quite thin, so one can hear most street noise quite well in the rooms.

Perfect Location for exploring the city, seeing the waterfront light show or taking a bus to Bako.

Stairwell very dirty and unkept, but not many people use it! A large conference taking place whilst we were there meant breakfast was very busy.

Great central location, staff very helpful. Helped with local restaurant bookings and trips. Bed very comfortable, room v spacious. Good buffet breakfast.

Facilties are excellent from rooms to pool/bar and breakfast. Location is also top drawer. The main plaudits are due for the staff. The most pleasant and make the place excel. They work long hours but their enthusiasm to help their guests is worth seeing.

1. Room AC fixed at 23.5 degree Celcius. Can't be adjusted..Can feel warm while sleeping since weather is so hot. 2. Swimming pool too small (guess nothing much can be done) with shallow water only to abt waist level. For taller person maybe below waist level. Decided not to swim after being told abt this by a guest we met in the lift. 3. Could improve with staff training on basic info about tourist attractions..
