Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainThe door to the street is open, you don’t get any key or code nor you get any key or code to the room which makes it feel a bit unsafe. You don’t get any towel.
It is very near the train station which comes and goes to the airport, it is perfect for a stopover although quite far from city center. Room was ok, facilities were ok too. It’s worth the money.

MalaysiaFacilities are basic but adequate for the price. It’s fine if you keep expectations modest and is suitable for an overnight stay for those catching a flight from KLIA.
Location: Conveniently close to KLIA, about a 20-minute drive. A 7-Eleven, restaurants, and other amenities are within walking distance. Check-in/Check-out: Flexible for late-night arrivals. Check-out — simply leave the hostel, and done.

United KingdomAll good
Brilliant transit location for KLIA just a short walk from the KLIA Transit station of Salak Tinggi. Ideal for early/late flights out or late arrivals as a place to get a shower, some sleep and something to eat at the many restaurants nearby. Beds were very comfortable and clean (fresh sheets) and the room was cleaned to a very good standard. Air Con was excellent which ran quietly in the background and did not disturb our sleep. The twin room which we stayed in had a bunk bed with a very wide mattress so plenty of room to spread out. The mixed dorms are very good also and have curtains across the bed for some privacy. The communal area has a fridge and cooking facilities with tea, coffee and sugar available. Very good but it is expected people clean up after themselves which was being applied. There are 2 separate showers and 2 separate toilets. The showers are hot with supplied body wash. You can rent a towel for MYR 5. Great place and will continue to use every time we transit through KLIA. We were able to leave our bags before check in to go get some brunch in the local area. TIP: Express from KLIA to Sentral is currently MYR 55pp. Transit from KLIA to Salak Tinggi is MYR 4.90pp and then MYR 18.30pp from Salak Tinggi to Sentral. Total MYR 23.20pp. Approx half price of Express. Just a thought for those who are budget conscious...

MalaysiaThere's a shared kitchen/pantry, but you are not allowed to cook since they do not provide a stove or induction. But they do have microwave, fridge, water dispenser and basic kitchen utensils and crockery. Do not stay here if you are allergic to cat. The bathroom is a bit of a turn-off because there were a number of drain flies due to the humidity but it was still bearable.
I needed to check in at 3am and the management allowed me to do so, and the staff was friendly when I arrived. The hostel was cozy and peaceful. The rooms are well-ventilated with AC and ceiling fan. Really value for money ! They have few pet cats do wonder around the common area, and they are adorable. The bathroom has water heater.

New ZealandThin walls, we could hear the conversation of the people in the room next door. Had to wait for the staff member to arrive to check us in. Very small rooms, really only good for one night.
Reasonably close to the airport. Good outdoor food area nearby for local breakfast. Air conditioning worked well.

United StatesI found two bed bugs in my bed. When I notified the manager he was very concerned, so hopefully It is not a normal thing.
Great hostel, just 20 minutes from the airport (10 min train + 10 min walking). There are a ton of cheap restaurants around (including one that accepts cards) plus a 7-Eleven is right next door. Hostel has free coffee and tea, filtered water and a microwave. Bed is comfortable and AC keeps the room perfect. Nice common area with lots of places for sitting or working. Super fast Wi-Fi. Perfect for a layover - took me 50 min from hostel door to T2 gate.

The beds in this hostel were the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced! They were incredibly cozy. It was also great that the 7-Eleven was right next door. It’s about a 20-minute taxi ride to the airport.

South AfricaNothing bad here, all good/acceptable for the price you pay.
Great location for airport transits. So close to the KLIA express train that takes you everywhere in KL and it's safe to walk to the train from the hostel. We felt safe in our room and the beds are comfy. Nice to have a small kitchen with complimentary tea and coffee for a quick cuppa before you head out in the morning. They have many kittens which is pretty cute. Thanks for a very convenient stay.

SingaporePlace was hard to find at night. My driver was kind enough to take me right up to dark wire door which opened up to flight of stairs. Bit intimidating for female solo traveler but okay when lights came on.
Easy access to KLIA express with food places and covered walkway to station - found out next day. My flight arrived late and my Grab ride from airport cost 30 ringgit. Train to Salat Tinggi would've cost 5 ringgit + another 5 ringgit Grab to hostel. My room was opposite the shared washrooms but didn't hear a thing. Amazed at how quiet the place was.

United KingdomWell, it's a simple and basic hostel, which completely fulfills the brief.
Basic, great value hostel just one stop on the KLIA express from airport T1 (2 stops from T2). Then it's a 10-15 minute straight walk. It's not a very inspiring area but ther are good, cheap, late-closing eating options just a stroll away incl a good biriyani house and a 7/11 I ended up in a single room at the same price as a dorm. Tiny room and hot, but the aircon worked and it was quiet. Clean toilets and showers. Cats and kittens added to the ambience! A very satisfactory and cheap 1-night stay.
