The equipment could use more maintenance, and I felt that safety standards could be improved. Additionally, the boat transport from Semporna and back was poorly organized. I had to leave a day earlier than planned because there might not have been a boat available the following morning. Despite this inconvenience, I wasn’t offered any form of compensation or alternative arrangement for the lost night.

The hotel was simple but satisfactory for my needs. The dives were enjoyable, and I had the chance to see some new marine life, which made the experience memorable. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, always willing to assist with any questions or concerns.

No fresh water at all, you shower with salt water. It's very expensive for what you get. It's not really safe to snorkel infront of the hostel due to many fast boats driving by. They wouldn't even hear you screaming because the engines are so loud. The hostel has their own generator which buzzes night and day.

Their diving is great, we enjoyed it very much. Equipment is good also. Food was nice (breakfast included). We liked window in the room.

There is no airconditioned rooms. It was rather hot during the fday. But the nites are quite ok.

The view is very good. The staff are nice, especially Puan Shidah. Love the place and the people.

Just an extra comment, nothing wrong about the homestay: THIS IS NOT A BEACH ISLAND! If you go to Mabul, it is because you want to enjoy the ocean and its marine life. There aren't paradisiac beaches there. Many people get confused and therefore disappointed.

They have diving and snorkelling trips three times daily so that you can go for one, two or three according to your energy. Prices are very affordable.

While we enjoyed our stay, the room and bathroom could use a bit of TLC. Some maintenance and updates would enhance the overall experience.

We loved our stay at this charming accommodation. The smaller size compared to other places on the island provided a more intimate and relaxing atmosphere, especially since it wasn't fully booked. Our host was amazing and very knowledgeable about diving, offering great tips and insights. It's an ideal spot for those seeking a cozy and authentic experience rather than luxury.

Nothing about the property but more about the island that really needs some environmental attention and education. Too much plastic around. Before arriving the communication was a bit misleading especially regarding the airport shuttle. Actually is very easy to get to the island from Semporna but, of course, we tried to explain that is not so easy to understand before (when someone is organizing their trip).

Angah made us feel like we were at home. The property has just few rooms and is in a strategic position (but it’s an island so most of them are). We did scuba diving and he made us decide when and where. All the staff were very friendly and helpful when we needed. They also helped us to get permits for Sipadan Island. The room was simple but just on the sea. With stunning sunset every day.

Facilities are just OK. Water heated by the sun (acceptable temperature though) - cannot complain!

Very basic facilities that would be improved with just a little more care and attention - for example, the shared toilets aren't great.. Don’t expect a luxury resort, but that was fine by us as the place/location is just incredible.

Laid back and down to earth based in the local community. Beautiful location. Great tower - watching turtles swim by at night.

We paid very little for the meals (3€), but nevertheless, there were cases when all the food was gone, and not provided for everybody.

We liked the atmosphere, and very relaxed, good, and reasonably priced snorkeling trips. Great location!

Basic facilities like toilets and showers should be updated. A lot of it is broken. Wouldn’t recommend going to Mabul island if you’re not a diver.
