Location is perfect. Close to everything. We walk to taiping lake park three times during our two nights stay. The place is very clean and well maintained.

Ridiculously large/cumbersome key cluster: a magnetic strip for the street door, a key for the inner cafe door, and a skeleton key for the room. Speed-changing A/C fan, shower that wets entire bathroom floor. Pretty good if that’s all I can think of.

Really good location and staff (Lin is wonderful), eclectic tastefully decorated interior. No electricity cutoff when leaving the room. There appears to be 3 dorm rooms and 2 doubles upstairs and one triple down (behind the cafe). All rooms are shared bath (there are 2 upstairs). I stayed 3nights in the downstairs triple, which was in the back, off the street, without a window, so was insulated from outdoor noise, but not stuffy. A/C worked great except the fan seemed uncontrollable: speed oscillated continuously (even in “quiet” mode) and since I’m a light sleeper, earplugs did the trick. Two light switches provided good lighting, and there is a switchable exhaust fan to vent and another fan to circulate air, but they aren’t necessary. The room has clothes hooks, sufficient space, and there’s a drying line on the roof. The bathrooms (upstairs) have the typical Asian shower that floods everywhere (squeegees are provided, but ignored by guests). Also available are 2 sinks and 2 toilet stalls downstairs (for cafe patrons?), so triple room occupants only have to climb stairs to shower. Overall a really nice clean place to stay.

It remains the chinese old fashion feature that brings me back to my childhood memories, it is precious, the house is very secure and very very clean, not a dust in the room, there are notebooks where u can share your thoughts before u leave, and it is very interesting when you look at other traveller's comments and incredible drawings in it.😍

Such a cute hostel in a nicely renovated traditional building. Owner/staff was very friendly and let us check-in early (much appreciated!). Great location in Taiping old town, with lots of nice cafes and restaurants nearby. For info, the triple room had no window. The owner told us at the time of booking, and we decided to keep the room anyway. The room did feel a bit claustrophobic, but you can hang around in the café area. We did enjoy our stay there.

Lovely hostel to explore Taiping from! Good location with lots of food options around. Clean toilets and curtains for the beds. The hostess was super nice and also had some really interesting original art on display!

1.Great rooms: reslly big beds with curtains, a lamp and still a little bit space by the bed so you have like a small room for yourself when you draw the curtain. 2. Place to sit and rest is in the cafe that belonds to the hostel, which has rustic, coś atmosferę. 3. Helpful, nice owner.

Nothing not to like.

From the moment I stepped into the accommodation, I fell in love with the interior design—so much attention to detail! The dorm and shared bathroom were very clean, and the owner and staff were incredibly kind. I felt so comfortable that instead of staying for just two days as planned, I ended up staying an entire week. The accommodation is located right next to the night market, offering great food. It’s a great starting point for exploring the area. Taiping has a lot to offer when it comes to street food, a beautiful park for relaxing, and a national park for hiking. A trip to Kuala Sepetang is also worth it. It’s a great place for long-term travelers looking for a slower pace—overall, a peaceful and relaxing stay.

All was perfect!

It was perfect! Best hostel in the whole Malaysia. Lin, the amazing lady who takes care of the place was super friendly, kind and helpful from the minute I made my booking. She's like an one person army, for she keeps it spotless, super organised and guarantees the super nice vibe of the place. The hostel is cozy, super comfortable and the other guests were also super nice and always respectful. Cheers for the great work they are doing!

Everything is so good at this hostel. It's well maintained, has a cozy environment and the owner is such a nice friendly person. The location is ideal, nearby to so many attraction spots in Taiping. I highly recommend this hostel for all solo travellers
