Eke and her staff were excellent and made our stay especially enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble and our extra night’s stay at short notice was easily accommodated - with a room upgrade to boot!

The pool needs to be thoroughly cleaned. Although the water looks fine ( the tiles grout in the pool has significant dirt build up and a few cracked tiles on the pool base could cut feet. Smiling Buffalo closes at 5 and as this is the central hub of the property, it means there is no community feel after that. However there is a great sunset restaurant 5 min walk away and a host of local restaurants and warungs. The main area is also only a 15 min walk away too.

Peaceful. Staff are very kind and good fun. The 2 girls ( sorry - I didn't get their names) were awesome and never missed an opportunity to say good morning or find out how your day was going to be. Food is delicious and coffee was excellent. Water and towels replaced daily and great rainforest shower. comfy beds and although no TV, the wifi worked most of the time.

It was disappointing that the pool was not usable.

The staff is super! The are friendly, personal, proactive, make sure you absolutely feel at home. The in-house bistro Smiling Buffalo - were you also enjoy your breakfast - is cozy and very popular among a lot of people who drop in during the day, which add to a vibrant atmosphere. In the morning there is easy listening live music too. The bistro closes at 5 pm, so no dinner here. The lodge (we stayed downstairs) is comfy, has a lot of space and a nice terrace to relax at the end of the day. It’s just a 10 minutes scenic walk to the beach…

This property was a breath of fresh air from the city. The staff were so incredible, Ekin, Aisia and Wan so lovely. They were helpful from even before we arrived and were so great. The location is close to the beach and connected to a popular brunch space. I highly recommend getting a breakfast included option and the food is delicious. I would highly recommend this property, every aspect of it was so nice.

: Stay in Villa 1 – Panji Panji Tropical Wooden Home (6 nights) What a wonderful place! Our six-night stay in Villa 1 at Panji Panji Tropical Wooden Home was truly unforgettable. The villa itself is beautiful – spacious, full of character, and thoughtfully decorated. It felt like home from the moment we arrived. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful – nothing was too much to ask. We rented scooters for four days through Ekin and explored the island at our own pace, discovering so many beautiful spots along the way. Each morning, we enjoyed a fantastic breakfast at Smily Buffalo, where we could order à la carte from a delicious and varied menu. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care – definitely one of the highlights of our stay. In short: Panji Panji is a peaceful, comfortable, and welcoming oasis. We would return in a heartbeat!

We were in Villa 2. A lovely place in paradise. Great garden, very nice pool. Breakfast is delicious, a la carte and looks Instagrammable. Very much recommended!

Everything was perfect.

Besides the room, we really liked the green garden (with lots of birds and butterflies), the café/restaurant and swimming pool. The walk to the beach took only +/- 15 minutes. Staff was really friendly and allowed us to keep our room a little longer after checkout, so we could freshen up before our late flight to Kuala Lumpur.

Panji Panji hosts were incredible, we spent our first stop of our honeymoon there, the villa was perfect! The breakfast was excellent, the swimming pool very welcome. Thank you for everything!

It takes around 10-15mins to walk to the beach and some restaurants.

The rooms were spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff was very helpful and kind. When I had an issue in the room, they immediately came to help. Furthermore, breakfast was included in my stay and it was super tasty. They even made a sandwich for my early flight. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at Panji Panji.

The pool is uninviting and requires maintenance and cleaning due to all the mould growing on the walls of the pool, we could not swim due to the pool not being cleaned.

Gorgeous style, gardens serene and peaceful, beautiful breeze, the Cafe was fantastic! Staff really helpful and very polite. Rooms were a great size.

We loved the location and authenticity about the place. It was great to be away from but close to the mayhem of Cenang Beach. The property had a calm comfortable vibe and staff were super friendly and frequently asked if they could assist us in any way. The cafe (breakfast) served lovely food in a great atmosphere. We loved having a dip in the pool in the afternoons. I recommend way above any other resorts.

The room was a little dark. The pool and bikes were not operational during our stay, but we enjoyed the beach a lot. We stayed during Ramadan, so we assume that it could impact some services and maintenance

The best part of our stay was Smiling Buffulo cafe, where we had our breakfasts (included). Coffee was the best on the island, and people outside of the stay came to the cafe for its quality food and drinks. The room was clean and comfortable. 15-minute walk to Cenang Beach and good restaurants.

Very nice property, feels like you’re one with the nature. Everyone was so kind here and they offer laundry service, scooter rental, and connected us with a guy who we booked a tour through. Great breakfast as well!
