Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaMosquite is unavoidable.
Beautiful warm atmosphere at night. Simple breakfast was provided. Our favourite the beehoon and mungbean soup cooked with durian.! Also the homemade nutmeg and coffee flower tea. Freshest durians collected in the morning.

AustraliaRoom not really sound proof (especially when it rains heavily), also you need to really protect yourself against mosquito, we had quite a few bites during our stay. Wait for grab driver may be long.
Staff were friendly, and we get to have durian on site. The environment gives a really relaxed vibe.

MalaysiaThere are mosquitoes. Bring a spray or cream. To be expected in the tropics, outdoors, on a farm
2 ngts during durian season was heaven on earth. Every morning a freshly cooked wide selection at breakfast ,inc. a durian & red bean bubur. Different durians for sale during the twice daily collection. I'm happy I trusted them to find treasure for me;I as I don't need branded durian all the time. The bruised durian was simply outstanding. Stayed in Malay chalet. Spotlessly clean, comfortable, and lovely pillows on bed; air con was strong and a fan too. Walks on farm offered chance to see tens and tens of other fruits growing, along with hundreds &hundreds of durian trees. The hospitality was simply the best. Thanks Brenda &WeeWee, plus your mum &dad. And the 3 dogs absolutely made my friends' holiday. We used Grab: VERY VERY easy to move around. But on last morning the Grab Advanced Booking failed. Thankfully, Brenda has phone numbers of local drivers so we were all OK 10mins later. Price about same as Grab. I will be back.

FranceThe location is amazing. Fully immersed in nature. The walk up to the nearby Thai restaurant for sunset was great. We ate fresh Durian and pineapple. Explored the grounds lots—including the lovely local dogs. The pool is a really nice touch

Completely immersed in the natural surroundings. Lovely innkeeping couple and their parents. Requests are readily accommodated. Simple but comfortable room and facilities. Delicious durians if you go during the season.

AustraliaIt's a hidden gem, tucked away on twelve acres of fruit trees, and pineapples. We were given an upgrade to our accommodation to a chalet on the hillside, totally secluded, and relaxing.

NetherlandsNothing, place was great.
This place was so peaceful. It felt super secluded, but still with the comforts of being near beach and city, (and for example easy to order grab to). It was the perfect getaway between all the different fruit. We used the common areas a lot, as they were really nice to relax in, but our chalet was also really nice and comfortable. We used the bikes provided to take a trip through the rice paddies to the beach. We walked the hike up to the Thai restaurant with the great view. But we mostly relaxed on the beautiful property, reading, chilling, playing games. The hosts are really kind and it was nothing but a pleasure to stay with them. Really helpful and fun people.

NetherlandsThe food situation is a bit challenging. I borrowed a bike to cycle to the village for dinner. And be ware of possible noise from outside and muscito’s.
What a gem! Bit of a hidden one ;), but an absolutely stunning estate. Adorable houses to sleep in, all natural materials. Wonderful family who lives here. 10/10 recommend.

MalaysiaThere was only 1 bathroom for sharing. There are rooms with attached bathrooms. Unfortunately, we did not take those.
The entrepreneurial spirit of the 2 young owners of the farm stay, Brenda and her husband. :-) Brenda is so enthusiastic about the value that they can give to the holiday makers, while her husband makes every effort to ensure that the logistics around the orchard grounds are taken care of. They both have intentions to provide holiday makers a feel of home away from home. :-) Mom and dad's abode is just next to the homestay, and they have a seating area just outside of their home for durian seekers who come to savor their durians and other fruits. A cozy stay with relaxed chatting sessions with the family. :-) The young couple is in the process of enhancing the farm stay and the services that they can provide. :-) :-) We'll be back! Ohh..., and you can walk/hike up the orchard to Genting Hill restaurant for drinks and meals. We did just that and was fun :-)

SpainThe only drawback is that it's quite a hidden location which some taxi drivers don't know about or don't want to come to. So it's good to be prepared. I'd suggest going out for lunch and bringing back food for the evening to avoid having to find transport again.
The people were very very friendly and helpful. (And the dogs were nice too) The little pool just outside our chalet stayed surprisingly cool and was a big bonus. The breakfasts were great, with "safe" options and a chance to explore local food! The place in general is peaceful and natural,.

AustraliaA wonderful rejuvenating stay in the blissfully quiet grounds of Nature Fruit Farm. Vivi and Brenda welcomed us warmly and were super helpful with any questions we had. The walk to the top of the mountain was spectacular and delicious lunch overlooking the sea and beautiful Penang was a bonus. We didn't have a car but took Grab taxis into Balik Pilau most evenings for a meal, a friendly town with some beautiful street art.

The owners of the property are wonderful hosts they even drove us around showing us all the local places to see and food to try. Our hosts also helped us a lot with our onward travel plans and knowledge of where to go. We enjoyed a beautiful walk up through the farm roads to a resteurant right at the top of the hill with amazing views. We had an amazing time and highly recommend, best experience in Penang. Thanks
