I did not enjoy my daiquiri at the bar - it was neither fresh nor tasty, and the staff was not friendly. A table nearby was very very loud and obnoxious, drunk and having fun, yes, but they were disturbing the peace of other guests including families and the staff did not help to manage it. All in all, I enjoy the view but the bar was annoying. The hotel is a little pricey for Sabah.

The staff are A+, and the concierge A++ .... and I am a tough customer. The room is spacious, very clean and very comfortable. It is a great place to jalan jalan, watch a sunset and feel the vibe of the city. The breakfast has many options, all of which are are tasty and well prepared The Pool is covered and clean - smallish, but not busy. The location can't be beat if you want access to markets - the fish/fresh (Anjung Kinabalu) market is across the street and the handicraft market, traditional market and two small malls are across the street or a few hundred meters away. Anjung Kinabalu is a colorful splash for the senses. The waterfront boardwalk is close by for a peaceful night walk. The outdoor bar is a large space and great place to watch the sunset. End result - I will stay again in the future.

There is only one issue in room 0932 — on the floor near the toilet, there is water that needs to be pushed manually as it will not dry or drain on its own. Therefore, you need to wear slippers

We were initially allocated room 0910, which has a staff cupboard adjacent to it. The door on this cupboard slams regularly, creating a very loud bang in the room. We raised this problem and we were allocated another room without issue. However you may want to try to avoid room 0910 (and presumably 0810, 0710 etc).

This is a beautiful high standard hotel. The rooms are large, clean and well designed, with very comfortable beds. The breakfast spread is extensive, with something for every taste. The staff are polite and helpful. The pool and gym are excellent. The hotel seems to cater mainly for a Chinese clientele.

The beds only had a blanket with no basic cover sheet underneath, so I had to max the AC to avoid being too hot in bed while still having a cover.

We were only there for a night, the lobby was a little crowded, so didn't try the F&B options which were in the lobby.

Great location in the center of KK, very close to the airport if you have an early flight, also close to market and boardwalk which are great to go to at sunset - I recommend both the Italian and Thai restaurants. Lovely sea view from the bedroom, which have floor to ceiling windows, bedroom was a good size good strong shower, and nice bathroom amenities.

I would have liked to have stayed longer. I was travelling for work and a marathon, but will certainly be returning with my family for leisure time too.

Everything was wonderful. Loved the lounge access - a definite bonus. Everything was outstanding - however the super friendly and helpful staff really made my stay that much better! Great gym. My first trip to KK, loved every second.
