Best location and still quiet. Romantic room, nice balcony. Best value if you had a big family. Rather rudimentary bathroom but functional and clean. Charming old shop house with inside courtyard. Only gripe are the mosquitoes. Would be best to provide a plug in mosquito repellent for the room. By

If only there was a teeny weeny fridge, it would have been 10/10!

Location was excellent. Ambience was excellent. Cleanliness was excellent. VIBE WAS EXCELLENT! The view from the balcony, with the cool, crisp morning air, church bells tolling, cup of tea in hand. SUPERB.

Only downside is that I didn’t stay long enough!

Truly an oasis! Conveniently located near Jonker Walk and many other key spots in Melaka, and yet neighborly and quiet. The property itself is historic, beautiful, comfortable, and cozy. The host is kind, helpful, and friendly. Plus she had nice recommendations for what to do nearby. I definitely plan to stay here next time I’m in town.

    Really nothing

The place is just perfectly placed, on a typical historical house of Malacca. The room is huge and feature all needed. The place is super calm even though it is a few minute away from Jonker street. Sam is the perfect host giving you all information, help, to make your stay enjoyable. You can't stay at 1 better place full of authenticity to feel the Malacca way of life.

The nearby public parking by the road side was not available (since its a weekend) so we had to park quite far away and have to walk with all our belongings but this is understandable and not her fault at all. But yes you can park at the parking near the Stadthuys building (about 10 mins walk away) since its shady and cheap (RM10/entry)

The room was soo delicate and pretty and it exceeded my expectations!! Everything was very clean and lovingly taken care of esp some antique pieces in that room and you can feel the warmth oozing from all of them! It just feels so homey and feels like returning to your long lost family member's house!! I feel so happy here and i wished i could extend my stay:"" ! The place was strategically located at the quiet, serene part of Jonker Street and it couldn't have been more perfect. We slept so well on that lovely bed! The AC/fan and all the amenities were working well too:) and oh ya, I super love the cute, airy bathroom! The super friendly black and white tabby downstairs are such a gem for us cat lovers too! .Checking in was easy: the host (Madam Sam) came just right on time to meet us to pass us the key and also to welcome us and show us around the property:) she is very lovely, very accommodating and helpful and oh the sweetest!! Wished to come again soon!!

Too many mosquitoes, especially in the night. If you want to stay in toilet a bit longer, better to spay lots of insecticide.

Excellent location, walking 7 mins to chinatown (night market open three days per week until 11PM) and to Christ Church, easy to reach foods/shops. Room is very clean, owner is nice and friendly.

Parking - it was street parking, which we were not sure if it belonged to anyone. So we had to park at a public car park and walk over with our luggage.

It really felt like home with the old style furniture and a cat downstairs. It was like going home to Grandma's. The location was really good - within walking distance to all the food and attractions. Grab was easy too, to get farther. We recommend to park at the public parking lot and take Grab to go to farther places. Sam, the owner, was very friendly, responsive and easy to deal with. A really good stay indeed.
