The location is superb. We did not take the breakfast in the hotel as we wanted to explore the eateries near Langkawi. The room is nice and comfy. They even provide the prayer mat, the telekung and the Alquran. We really appreciate and love it.

Strategic hotel location with various facilities and shops. Far from the beach but still in a calm state even though the city area. Travel to interesting locations is usually 15-20 km. Hey, you are on an island, even if you turn around you will find the same location in your vacation later. Lol.

The pillow....you can do better.

Wide variety of food to choose of for breakfast. The jemput-jemput is a-must-try dish. As an islamic hotel, the room is equip with sejadah or prayer mate, telekung and quran. My room facing the MAHA Tower, just love it.

The room was a bit worn out, and there was some mold in the bathroom. The surrounding area is not the best, e.g. getting to MAHA tower requires walking on roads without sidewalks and passing by rather dirty abandoned territory.

The staff was extremely friendly. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and toiletries were provided. There is a large parking lot with plenty of free spaces, and some shops nearby. The MAHA tower is about a 10 min walk away. Please note that this is an Islamic hotel, which is even reflected in its logo. There are no restrictions for non-Islamic visitors, but it's something to be aware of. I was a bit surprised to realize this upon arrival, as I was wearing a short summer dress. While no one said anything, I was concerned about showing unintentional disrespect.

Despite being a non-smoking room the room REALLY smelt like cigarettes perhaps from a nearby room or through the vents. Blasting the Aircon did help with this but the smell lingered.

My parents' room smelled moldy when we first entered. My father commented on the "cucur bawang" to the kitchen staff and chef as they were very hard and served cold however the chef seemed unable to accept his suggestions gracefully.

Reception staff were very accommodating and allowed us to check out late so that we can perform our Zohor prayers. This was very helpful as I was travelling with senior citizens, and they need to get some rest prior to us flying back home. Room space is big enough for two person with luggage and shopping haul. Breakfast spread was good too, I honestly only expected to be served with fried rice and bread however was presented with more (nasi lemak, fried noodle, beef bacon, pau, salad, bread and buns, noodle soup, fruits with hot drinks and fruit juice). Pleasant surprise! Beds were surprisingly comfortable too and I was able to sleep through the night. You can reach the HIG complex in less than a minute by walking - shop chocolates to your heart's content!
