tge owner & staff need to go an hospitality course to enable them to stay relevant in tourism industry. Most are rude & super unfriendly.

Nice shower room. Clean room. Quiet ambience.

Accommodation was at the other end of the village, quite far from from the jetty. The pillows are not to my liking, thick and hard. Window screen is quite transparent, outside can see the room inside at night.

Charming and quiet, nice clean shower. Very helpful staff.

Smell from the creek was in the room. Fluorescent light was so bright and white at night time in room.

The room was clean and spacious. Loved having a fridge! The view was beautiful and location very peaceful.

There were very few options regarding restaurants in the evening. Most seemed closed during the week.

Very clean and comfortable. Directly infront of the beach. The host was really helpful. We got stood up by our water taxi, and the host kindly help send us to the jetty.

A super tasty breakfast, especially the pancakes. My husband would have lived roti canai with curry! 😉 We had such a gorgeous 4 nights in the beach front chalets - a perfect location and view to make our stay even more special. It’s a really private end to the beach but Salang is an easy stroll away and the staff at Ella’s are super friendly. We enjoyed a fab morning snorkeling at Coral Island too. Definitely recommend!

Maybe removing the sand pike (building work?) next to the chalet?

Ella's place was exactly what we needed after a busy 2 weeks elsewhere in Malaysia. We had the triple room with sea views and AC for the first 4 nights which gave us both plenty of room and we had the best view! Woke up to the gentle sound of the waves crashing against the shore. We loved watching the sunset every night from the balcony and snorkelling out to the reef to see the wonderful sea creatures. We were lucky enough to spot a turtle on one of our swims...truly magical! It's about a 10 minute walk into the main bit of Salang which we didn't mind and Ella makes a great breakfast (french toast is very yummy!). The staff are all super friendly and will organise trips for you on the boat to the other towns on the island. Would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a peaceful time in nature on Tioman. Thank you for a great stay!

Minor improvements would be the hammock material was a bit rough and maybe a wee air freshener in the toilet. I would also have appreciated a lamp as the bright light was a bit overpowering at night when relaxing.

Wonderful place! Incredibly warm atmosphere! Very kind and sincere family! Unity with nature. We had a view of the jungle and we enjoyed watching monitor lizards, squirrels, monkeys, butterflies and birds. There were delicious breakfasts. It is very convenient that breakfasts are right on the territory. Here on the spot you can rent everything you need for snorkeling. Here we also booked snorkeling around the islands. And it was the coolest snorkeling in my life. Great time on Salang Beach in Ella's Place!!!

Such a good place, more importantly the chalet facing the sea.

Ellas place is super cute with a beautiful beach, the breakfast is delicious. The room without AC is warm, but manageable and with the fan on/windows open at night its very comfortable.

Bathroom smelled like onions because it was close to the kitchen

Position was excellent, secluded island paradise Breakfast yummy and good value.

Our room, air conditioning for 2 (not budget) was old and dusty and hot water was scalding with no control. There were new rooms for 3 that looked better, possibly try fan room. The beach furniture/hammocks needs upgrading.we were disappointed for cost of room value compared to ABC.

We had an amazing stay at Ella’s place, the views are exceptional, the relaxed atmosphere is irreplaceable. Reading on the Hammocks, snorkelling in the surrounding bays seeing turtles, sharks and an array of fish. We were very looked after and I highly recommend Ella’s banana pancakes, we practically had them every day!

No air condition in the chalet 🥲

Relaxing place, the view from the room is very nice. There are a lot of chair,tables and shadows to sit and relax in the beach. The staff is very nice and friendly. Is not far a way to restaurants

The sea there has a lot of rocks so is not nice but walking only 10 min you can find a great place to swimming

A decent home-cooked style breakfast was available for guest. The chalet is right in front of the beach giving guest a nice view of the sea from the chalet and direct excess to the beach privately. Location is slightly away from other chalets, but in general Salang village is isolated from other villages.

Sadly the village is quite abandoned since covid as compared to how it was previously when I visited. Hopefully the village gets some help with revamping and upgrading of the infrastructure from developers and the government.

The hotel is right in front of the beach and away from the main public paths. It’s chill and perfect for those seeking a peaceful and private environment. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Lovely location at the end of the beach which was calm and quiet. Wonderful sunsets. All the staff were so friendly and the breakfast was really good.

It is expensive for what you get. We stayed in the basic room with fan. The cleanliness wasn't great. Mould on the walls in the bathroom and there were remnants of insect nests. The bathroom door was broken so it couldn't be closed. The sink emptied straight onto the floor and the water puddled in the middle of the floor.
