Accommodation was at the other end of the village, quite far from from the jetty. The pillows are not to my liking, thick and hard. Window screen is quite transparent, outside can see the room inside at night.

There were very few options regarding restaurants in the evening. Most seemed closed during the week.

The room was clean and spacious. Loved having a fridge! The view was beautiful and location very peaceful.

A super tasty breakfast, especially the pancakes. My husband would have lived roti canai with curry! 😉 We had such a gorgeous 4 nights in the beach front chalets - a perfect location and view to make our stay even more special. It’s a really private end to the beach but Salang is an easy stroll away and the staff at Ella’s are super friendly. We enjoyed a fab morning snorkeling at Coral Island too. Definitely recommend!

Our room, air conditioning for 2 (not budget) was old and dusty and hot water was scalding with no control. There were new rooms for 3 that looked better, possibly try fan room. The beach furniture/hammocks needs upgrading.we were disappointed for cost of room value compared to ABC.

Position was excellent, secluded island paradise Breakfast yummy and good value.

We had an amazing stay at Ella’s place, the views are exceptional, the relaxed atmosphere is irreplaceable. Reading on the Hammocks, snorkelling in the surrounding bays seeing turtles, sharks and an array of fish. We were very looked after and I highly recommend Ella’s banana pancakes, we practically had them every day!

No air condition in the chalet 🥲

I had such a wonderful experience at Ella Place. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm, genuine hospitality that truly stood out. The sea there has a lot of rocks so is not nice but walking only 10 min you can find a great place to swimming

Relaxing place, the view from the room is very nice. There are a lot of chair,tables and shadows to sit and relax in the beach. The staff is very nice and friendly. Is not far a way to restaurants

Sadly the village is quite abandoned since covid as compared to how it was previously when I visited. Hopefully the village gets some help with revamping and upgrading of the infrastructure from developers and the government.

A decent home-cooked style breakfast was available for guest. The chalet is right in front of the beach giving guest a nice view of the sea from the chalet and direct excess to the beach privately. Location is slightly away from other chalets, but in general Salang village is isolated from other villages.

It is expensive for what you get. We stayed in the basic room with fan. The cleanliness wasn't great. Mould on the walls in the bathroom and there were remnants of insect nests. The bathroom door was broken so it couldn't be closed. The sink emptied straight onto the floor and the water puddled in the middle of the floor.

Lovely location at the end of the beach which was calm and quiet. Wonderful sunsets. All the staff were so friendly and the breakfast was really good.

no place to hang your wet cloth. not much an issue.

this place gives real "kampung" experience. viewing sunset, with local kid playing at beach, fishing. its about 10 minute walk from jetty, but your bag will be picked up upon arrival. several restaurant by local nearby. need to walk several minute. didnt have any issue to walk at night with kids as theres walkable pavement with good lighting. the local burger, fried rice, tomyam are very good. price are abit higher didnt encounter mosquitoes/ insects etc as we book air cond room.

The internet didn’t reach our room so we had to walk out any time we wanted to go online. Not a massive thing but we had to do some work and then it was a bit annoying.

Right on the beach, nice view. They offer a small breakfast selection. We booked a cheap room and you get what you pay for - simple. But we don’t need much.

Magnificent view from our bungalow. Sea and snorkeling meters from the veranda. Very friendly family who run the place collected us from the jetty and organised snorkeling trip to Coral Island. Accommodation is rustic and basic but adequate.

They host us like beeing part of the family. Ella and her family are so kind and full of precious suggestions. If you look to a relaxing holiday Ella in Tioman is the place. Of course is not a 5 star accomodation , but this is not we are looking for, .but it is very clean and comfortable. We had quiet and relaxing holiday since we've not have from many years

it's all ok, nothing I didn't like.

if you expect a 5 star hotel experience, then you're at the wrong place here. It's quite bare bones, but does well what it's supposed to be doing. AC is cold, shower is warm, staff is friendly and accommodating. We didn't try breakfast but everyone else looked happy having it. We were rushing to get to the jetty so one of the staff members picked us up on their motorbike. Distance is about 5 minutes of brisk walk to everything else.

The room was very hot and the fan was not helping during the heat. An air conditioner would have been better but you can also just open your window at night and let the cold breeze come in (while the lights are shut so no mosquitoes get in).

Ella's family was very welcoming. They waited for us at the port of Salang to pick us up and also got our luggage back on our departure day. Ella is very responsive on WhatsApp and responded to all our questions before coming to the island. They suggested activities such as snorkelling, diving, hiking or just boat taxis which made us more mobile during our trip. All in all, Ella was a great host

10 walk from Kampung selang, it is a locely and very calm corner. The rooms are cool and the sea is transparent

Only downside is that Ella‘s is at the remote end of Salang Beach, so you have to walk a bit along some remains of other buildings. When the sun is down that can get a bit creepy when you’re alone and you walk back from dinner at one of the other beach restaurants (Ella’s only serves breakfast, no lunch or dinner), but that‘s not Ella‘s fault (don‘t forget to bring your flashlight in the evening though).

I stayed for 2 nights at Ella‘s place and really liked it! Ella and her brother Lan were very kind and the breakfast good with quite a selection (like roti). The view from the bungalow quite nice towards the beach. Lan kindly organized a snorkel trip very spontaneously for me and 2 other guest and we very much enjoyed the beautiful underwater world of Coral island, spotting rays, needlefish, parrot fish and sea turtles!
