Choice of two pools, the clifftop one was much quieter. Staff were very friendly and the food options at the restaurant were good. The Baruk suite is a little run down but it was clean and comfortable.

The numerous laminated notices listing rules and fines for every possible misstep didn’t help make the stay feel more pleasant, though this seems to be fairly common in Malaysia. One thing that surprised us was the extra charge for bedding for the pull-out bed, especially since they expected 4 guests.

MalaysiaI was surprised for an entire resort they had only one masseuse. Four of us really needed one but there were not having it and it was a weekday Monday. It was a turn off as we came here to relax but Damai with such reputation had a bad service. The floor was full of sand after we enter the unit. Didn’t expect that also because my previous visit was awesome. Breakfast was another nightmare as my mom and sister had diarrhea because of spoiled food. They ate a little and realize it was spoiled. But the duty manager addresss the issue and compensate us for rm 150 but she had problem even after reaching KL.
The bed was comfy. The facilities was available and good.

MalaysiaThe rooms definitely needs to be refurbished. Air conditioning poorly maintained noisy and not cold especially on very hot days. The towels are old and hard. Carpets in rooms should be removed so there is no bad smell.
The beds are very comfortable. It is good if you are looking for a quiet few days vacation to relax. The van transfer service is excellent. Friendly and helpful staff.

SingaporeThe whole resort could receive some upgrading works. All the furniture, even the bath robes have seen better days. The phone in our room was not working but we could text through their WhatsApp hotline for housekeeping and room service. The breakfast buffet could have more variety.
The room we booked was a one-of-a-kind experience as it was styled in the baruk design. The suites have their own swimming pool, apart from the main pool near the restaurant.

We had a wonderful experience at Damai. The restaurant food was excellent. We were offered with great price to enjoy the Ramadan dinner buffet. It was our first time joining the crowd at the poolside. We enjoy the festive atmosphere. The decoration, music in the evening are memorable.
