Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThis is not at all the fault of the hotel, and they do mention this once you have booked, but if you are arriving from land side the day before expecting to get a night’s sleep before you leave, it can be challenging to get a boarding pass from your airline, and then to convince customs staff that you need to get airside.
Very convenient for Gates P and Q. Simple and comfortable, with a shared good clean hot shower.

KenyaThe pods are not soundproof so you'll hear any and all movements from the pods next to you.
The pods are clean and comfortable. Conveniently located in terminal 2 so ideal for both short and long layovers without leaving the airport. Staff are friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are clean.

United StatesI wish they had a living room of some sort, where you could sit at a table. An electric kettle and a microwave would be awesome.
Just what you would expect. A "capsule" to get some sleep within flights, and a good shower.

AustraliaRooms were not as quiet as I had hoped for. Hearing another person snoring for most of our stay was a little frustrating.
Very convient & perfect for a short layover. Access to the shower was perfect after a late night flight.

SingaporeThe check-in was a bit slow, they could have more counters, and the staff did not ask what I needed for example they didn't give me slippers, and I had to ask for a toothbrush. Though when I asked they provided.
The pods were super quiet and the bed was comfortable and you had everything you needed there. It was good and quiet stay for me. They provided a toothbrush, ear plugs, and eye mask, and towel. The location is great for a layover in KLIA2.

FranceI've stayed there 3 times already. This is the first time the bathrooms weren't clean.
It's perfect for a night in transit. I prefer the mixed room as you don't hear the announcements from the airport as much as the room for women only.

Italy- There is a max number of hours (I guess 6? Don't quote me though). But this does not make sense, because we are paying a standard price and we are booking a sort of hotel room. Hence, the hours should at least be 8-10h.
- Staff was super kind and available - The hotel was 100 meters far from my gate

MaldivesThe safe in my capsule was not functioning so every time I had to leave the capsule for a shower or grab a meal, I had to leave my valuables at the reception.
I liked everything about the property; I was provided with all the necessities- a towel, a toothbrush and toothpaste, earplugs, eye mask, a water bottle. The shower also had shampoo and body wash, a hair dryer and especially a bidet in the toilet. There was enough room for changing clothes as well. The sleeping space was comfortable and complete with pillows and cover up sheets and enough compartment to keep personal items. The lighting was also great, which was adjustable if one needs little to no light at all when sleeping. A pair of flip flops/slippers were also available under the capsule, which was so helpful for me because I only had a pair of sneakers at the time and my flip flops were in my checked luggage!

Brunei Darussalam• The toilet kinda dirty. But bearable.
• The bed is clean • The location is convenient. Just go to level 1 at the transportation hub. • At first I booked for the airside but apparently we need to go through security checks to go there. For direct flights it is recommendable to book for the landside. Thankfully the staff was very helpful and kind enough to transfer my reservation from the airside to the landside.
