Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomSuper minor detail but the piped music needs a bit more variety
A perfect choice for the relaxing phase of our Malaysia and Singapore holiday. After 5 days of city hopping we were very ready for a relaxing time and the Angsana certainly delivered. Superb beachfront location, amazing views from our room, chilled out poolside, good food. Staff lovely and gave you plenty of space. We enjoyed spotting otters and monitor lizards from the balcony!

AustraliaWi-fi was a little slow at times and the beach area would have benefited from an onsite groundsman to keep things tidy (some guests aren't as tidy as others).
The location was picture perfect. But the absolute highlight was the hotel itself, nestled into a backdrop of rain-forested mountains and expansive views from every room of the Andaman Sea. Designed by the the Petaling-Jaya born architect Lillian Tay, Angsana's infinity pools and floating pavilions and the incredible foyer using reclaimed timbers ...Wow!. The staff were wonderful and our room was so comfortable. Breakfast offered lots of choices. We had an unforgettable stay.

BelgiumLovely resort, beautiful beach, far away from crowds. Warm, hospitable staff. We were well looked after. Special call out to Zaman from house-keeping who was super attentive and hospitable and the lovely ladies at the paper workshop on Thu morning who made the short experience so engaging. Loved the breakfast.

Malaysiathe shower pressure in the changing room behind the gym is low. pillows are too hard. Would be good if management can offer pillow menu like some other hotel ( G Hotel, does ).
I like Jendela - all day dining . Breakfast is predictable, which I like. Especially loves the lap pool in front of Jendela. The reason I chose to stay there for the 4th time ( 10-12/8/2025). Can still do my routine morning laps even during holiday. Good length and can have my shower at the changing room behind the gym , have my breakfast straight after, without needing to go up to my room. The beach in front is quiet and quite private.

MalaysiaThe exterior of the hotel is not really inviting and the swimming pools are on the small side. It was fine for us as the hotel was not busy, but I can imagine during peak period, it might feel crowded.
The two-bedroom apartment was useful for our family - spacious and comfortable. It's also really close to Escape Penang.

Malaysia1) Cleanliness outside the hotel room, out from the lift and walkway to my room ;so much dust as like not being cleaned for sometimes. 2) valet Parking lot, found tissues and diaper when we passing by. Problem of Unethical guests or Lack of cleaning manpower ? 3) the lights at the restaurant @jendela, were too dim for diners at middle seating zone. Hardly see fish bones in my food with my already poor eyesight. Heard from diners next table requesting the staff to brighten the area however was told it was brightest level they could tune into. Food was delicious but dizzy to complete my dinner with very dim lighting.
Many activities provided be it indoor or outdoor , won’t be bored for family. Super Helpful and friendly staffs , especially Ali from adults pool offered help to pick up my boy’s yo-yo dropped on the roof top!

AustraliaMore details of what was on offer, such as experiences in and out of the hotel.
The rooms were well designed, comfortable and modern with spectacular views. We loved the buffet breakfast, the friendly staff and the two pools which both overlook the beach. Close enough to walk into town but remote enough for a full resort experience.

New ZealandTook a couple of days for a maintenance issue to be fixed, but other than that, all good.
Great resort. Such an amazing place with beautiful beach in front, wonderful decor and friendly staff. Rooms were big and full of everything we needed. Housekeeping is good, with a turn down service at night. Buffet breakfast fantastic with a huge range of food, both local and western. Pools are fantastic too. Really great to have a dedicated kids pool with lots of fun things to do.

AustraliaThe location is a bit far from any action although they do offer daily shuttles to Georgetown and Batu Ferringhi beach. I didn't use them as just used the Grab app for trips anywhere I wanted to go, if needed. The beach is not really swimmable as there are stingers around. It nice to walk on though and then go back to the pools.
This is a lovely hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast choice is vast and tastes great. The infinity pool is lovely and I did enjoy cocktails there too. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The views from the balcony are amazing. There is a walk between buildings but this is no bother as the walk is flat and fully covered.

ThailandLong wait to check in, not so much staffs fault but only two staff members working and big Chinese families taking up all time in check in desk. house keeping was inside our room shortly after we checked in lighting incense and spraying the room with fragrances, it was awkward as normally when you get to a room after travelling you use the bathroom/ shoes off and try to relax, unable to as random house keeper inside. Also male staff member asking for our "snapchat"? Looked about 16 years old.
It was very clean, smelt amazing and all rooms had a see view as they are all facing the ocean. Beautiful view. Would love to return.
