I have ZERO complaints about this hotel. They have exceeded our expectations! I promise you won't be disappointed. Also, don't forget to try out their restaurant and bar.

There was some construction that limited use of one of the pools for a couple of days. TV in the room is out of date and too complicated to use. Large suites have very nice bathrooms, comfortable beds, attractive furniture, etc but could be a little more furnished (a sofa would have been nice). WiFi is slow in the rooms (or at least in our room).

Nice spa facilities. Breathtakingly beautiful art and architecture. Overall very well maintained. Immaculately clean and ship shape everywhere. Rooms and bathrooms kept to a high standard. Helpful and friendly service. Very quiet neighborhood— the location is prime.

The hot water was a bit iffy. We had to ask 2 separate times for them to check on the hot water for our room. They made it right quickly.

The food is not what it used to be. Very blend, no flavor. Also, VMC has seen better days, when it used to be part of Chateau Relais. Overall, it is still very good but it needs more TLC. The sauna/jacuzzi area could use a facelift too.

VMC is a beautiful and serene property. Indoor and outdoor pools, spacious rooms and pleasant surroundings. I had a massage there and it was wonderful!

The hotel was about a 25-minute walk from the historic center. My husband and I were glad to have the excuse to walk but others might prefer to be a little closer to the center.

The room was quite spacious and the staff went out of their way to be helpful.

Bar and restaurant prices were exorbitant. Nearly $70 for four cocktails one evening, as we sat in the hotel bar with no other guests around. Hotel staff was not particularly welcoming. Especially the men/valets at the main entrance. They should have smiled and offered greetings when we entered or exited the hotel. Instead, they started at us or looked away. Extremely off putting. The spa facilities were nice, but not everything seemed to be working. Whirlpool jets, a large shower near indoor pool, empty water dispensers.

Beautiful facilities, spacious room, great neighborhood with a number of amenities nearby and easy access to the city center.

There is a wonderful spa and sauna and outdoor pool. There is a lovely restaurant and many outdoor sitting areas.

This property is fantastic. It is the perfect tranquil get-away from the bustling city of Guanajuato, especially during a festival time of year!

It is a bit further from the center of town than we realized. You can walk it but it takes a full half hour. But there are taxis. And kind of nice to be a little more secluded.

As I mentioned 10/10, but the lady which was working the reception on late shifts 17. + 18.02., should definitely work on her attitude. This could really destroy the great vibe the hotel has, for some guests. On 17.02. when she was receiving us, she did not give us a warm welcome, she was snappy and going super fast through her check-in list. On 18.02. we returned to the hotel in the evening, after doping the room key at the reception in the morning. She told us that the key is not there and we must have lost it. She made us check our bag again, despite us being sure that we droppend it before leaving. They gave us a spare key and found the original key later at reception. This can happen, but the last thing should be to blame the guest first hand. The rest of the staff was great and welcoming. For us this didn't kill our experience, this is why I still give full rating, but for others it could and that's so sad when everything besides that is so beautiful!

What a great hotel, it exceeded our expectations! Looks even better in real life than in the pictures! Awesome facilities and super well maintained, great and big SPA area! Beautiful gardens. The Hotel is quite big but doesn't feel as big, because it is widely spread. We will definitely come back! Walking distance to the center is about 10 - 15 minutes, they have free valet parking which worked out great! The staff was great besides one lady.

This hotel took our breath away it was top quality from the front door to our room, the staff were brilliant and the spar was a great relief after a long day walking around this amazing city.
