Good combination of privacy and yet beach access

We had the beach for ourselves, it was a clean beach, the room was clean. The staff was very friendly.

No one to help with the luggage despite the stairs and the distance from the car park. Kayak, boarding, bicycle, all come at a cost. Breakfast ok but too expensive and slow. Sideboard drawers falling. Room too small. The "plus" exceeds the "minus", I'd return there.

Location right on a beautiful isolated beach. Charming buildings and garden. Very nice bathroom.

Having to get out and open and then close the gate every time we came or went became a hassle.

Beautiful & tranquil property, situated with easy access to La Ventana’s most beautiful beach. Views are also amazing. The staff were excellent and made us feel at home and were always there to help us (even came to rescue us by jump-starting car battery). What more can you ask for?

Nely was always taking care of us and gave us great recommendations for activities and organizing everything for a wonderful stay. The breakfast is amazing. There is a kitesurfing school that is part of the hotel and my husband was very happy with the trainers. The rooms are clean and cozy our view to the ocean was incredible. We were there at the end of the last year and the 31st December and we enjoyed the starry sky is the most wonderful sky that I have seen. We were feeling at home

The only down side is that it is a couple miles of dirt road to actually get to the location - potholes and great amounts of dust have to be navigated any time you come and go from the Lodge.

Brilliant! each unit is independent cottage style, overlooking the stunning Ventana bay with glorious sunsets every day. Kitchen is only open for breakfast on request - it seems we were there in a slower season.

Just steps to the beach, this cultivated desert paradise has beautiful architecture and stunning ocean views. The beautiful gardens and artistic touches throughout added to the natural beauty of the location. Our hostess, Nelly, was like the warmth of the sun, readily available with resources and her generous spirit.

There is nothing wrong with the resort and we had a great time. It would be nice if they had more to offer besides breakfast but we knew that going in. A bar with snacks or drinks would have been convenient.

The resort is lovely and cute. All the bungalows are super cozy. The staff are lovely. The breakfasts are great.

The staff was very accomodating. Loved the views, quiet beach, ,many places to relax. As a kiter I was really happy to have a kiting school at the facility. They were super helpful.

The rooms do not lock, therefore security of one’s belongings while off property made me nervous. Money, passports, jewellery etc. there should be a way to secure items of value, perhaps a room safe?

We felt at this price point, that it was annoying to have to manually open and close the front gate.. a code operated gate would be preferable. A bar where we could purchase cocktails would have been nice…

Such an architecturally unique and artistic resort! For (very rural) Mexico, a higher-quality resort.. the casita rooms were eclectic, artistic, adorable, clean and comfortable… I told my husband the details felt a little like Gaudi in Spain. Mosaic tile details, cobblestone paths, colorful accents and details, lovely landscaping..unique Mexican artwork throughout the resort . Great common areas . Staff was wonderful! Nellie went out of her way to assist us! She was the best! We had such a lovely experience there.

Lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach would have been perfect!!?

The location was great and the asst manager, Nellie, very helpful and accommodating. The only drawback was no shade or chairs to lounge on the beach near the water. Everything else was excellent!!!

Breakfast was delicious but they charged in USD. If they want to charge USD, they should include breakfast in the value since not many restaurants in town offer breakfast. Or, charge in MX so it doesn't feel weird. Breakfast is also available for one hour and you have to reserve the day before. I just wish the whole breakfast situation was more flexible because the breakfast was delicious!

We loved this hotel! the room view was exceptional! we could see the ocean from the bed. We enjoyed taking pictures and walking around the hotel and down to the beach. The room is spacious, clean and so unique! Each room has an additional shower outside with an ocean view to rinse off with fresh water. This hotel is wonderful! Fast wifi! that probably you won't even use because this hotel is perfect to relax and take a break from your phone. Free parking is available!
