How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Shower door was creaky. Air conditioner thermostat missing/not working. Hotel staff don't know and can't speak/ understand English.

The AC did not have a remote control, and it was a broken box, so the AC was directly to the bed… we had to turn it off, and couldnt sleep, since it got too hot, no help was provided to take our 4 suitcases to our room, and there is no elevator

Staff's attitude is little uncaring, though not impolite. No lift and the room's telephone didn't work so climbing the flight of stairs after hectic day's sightseeing trip was very difficult.
Location is good Breakfast was great - the lady who served breakfast catered to my choices

They had a policy of no visitor, which was annoying. The cleanliness level is just okay. No elevator. The hotel smells like phenyl.
This is nearby bus stops etx. Main downtown. The beds were good. Clean towels and sheet

No elevator
Clean bathroon, comfortable beds, spacious room (111) and reasonable ac. Location was very good close to everything in the center of Cancun. Quiet neighbourhood

No elevator, no towels in the room or water to drink. I had to walk to a convenient Store to buy water.
The location, it was very clean , the staff very nice and breakfast was good and very close to a hospital. My husband has asthma and we went for a doctors appointment and we only walked 2 blocks to the doctor's office.

The smell of the room and the noise - I had no internet at all the staff gave me the wrong one …
The location is great ! Walking distance to restaurants and the market (the gym, money exchange …) very easy to park

We had been staying in one room and moved to another when our friend joined us. The second room was okay, the a/c unit was a little loud but worked okay.

The lighting in the room wasn't great. The main light was broken. There weren't any charging points near the bed.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. It was in a great location, close to lots of vegetarian restaurants. It wasn't that close to the beach but it was near the bus station. The shower had hot water with okay pressure. It was great for a short stay.

All the rooms have inside doors and it is super noisy certain times of the morning and night. Other guest did not care about the quite hours. 1st floor was the loudest . The hotel does not have an elevator. Be sure to bring ear plugs because the hall's echo and it was loud just for a few hr's of the night. WIFI does not work well in the rooms at times. It works great down stairs by the front desk.
Staff was wonderful, housekeeping was awesome. The breakfast had plenty to choose from . The room's were great for the price. Plenty of a/c and hot water. Felt safe for a single women traveling.

Toilet slow flush. Shower is weak.
Front desk good service. Very good service, at all times of the day. Quiet and bright inside. Hot water available and water machine. Felt safe in this neighborhood and close to shops and restaurants and grocery stores.

TV remote had low battery did not always work.
Felt secure. Desk clerk was very nice. Location was very good. Hotel was very clean no musty smell. Good bed and shower. Everything worked. Good value.

Little bit run down but it is still clean. The shower was fine but not much pressure. Beds were fine but pillows not so good. Lumpy.
Good location and quiet, nice staff, big room, good beds, decent shower, bus r6 runs along the same road which takes you all the way to puerto Juarez to go to isla mujeres.
