    Best option to visit Centro

As it is central and the traffic starts early, it can be noisy in the morning if you have a low-floor room.

The location of the hotel it's very good, in 15 minutes you will arrive walking to Bellas Artes. The restaurant is really good and the prices are competitive. The staff was very helpful and it's great that they have free parking.

Rooms were noisy - I could hear noise from the street and from the hallway. A couple of nights I was woken up by guests who were yelling in the hallway. Also, my blanket was very thin.

Location was good. Rooms were clean. Bed was comfortable. Shower was ok. I had minimal interaction with the staff, but they seemed friendly. For the price, this hotel met my expectations.

You hear everything going on in the hall and we even heard from the other rooms. It seems that many hotels are like that so it might be the same other places. The bed was very soft. This is personal preference though and others might like that. We later found out that we should not stay in the centre. It is close to many tourist attractions and nice during daytime, but the centre is not the best place to stay during evening/nighttime.

Gym room was enough for me to get a good workout and the staff was very kind

Best value for money; super central location

A detail which I have drawn the attention to before; in the bathroom it would be super nice if there was a door to the shower cabin so that not the entire bathroom floor is wet after having taken a shower. Beside that; in the room I had (202) a small section of the floor was damaged and should be fixed/repaired. And for the ones who doesn`t speak any Spanish; a little knowledge of English at the front desk would be nice. Nevertheless minor details which would not keep me from coming back

Been staying here before and always been happy and satisfied. Good service whether reception/front desk or room service/cleaning. The location super central less than ten minutes walking from Bella Artes, 15 minutes from Madero and 20 - 25 from Zocalo

There is a construction site next to the hotel, and they start construction early. So beware of that because they don't seem near-done. The first night was difficult because we could easily hear a screaming children in the room across the hall, but the following nights were quieter.

I would say the location is good for that neighborhood. The staff were wonderful and really helped us with questions we had. The maid saw that we had three people, and automatically gave us a third towel instead of us having to ask for it. Very appreciative of that.

Great stay; We had fun attending a Lucha Libre event at the nearby Arena Mexico.

Hotel san Angel is great for confort, value and location, don't give me wrong. But if I have to mention something then perhaps it would be it's business center. Only because the computers are a bit outdated. Most of us that travel for work will have our own Laptops to use, but if it wasn't the case it would be a bit hard to do some work as some of the tools needed are outdated and processor/ram wouldn't handle them. Again, not a big deal if you have your own laptop since the Internet signal is strong for zoom or webex if need, plus it quiet.

Very clean and confortable with friendly staff. Free parking when bringing my own vehicle. Staff is always friendly and helpful. It's not too far from Alameda and Bellas Artes. It's within a 15-20 min walk to Arena Mexico if you're bored and want to go for a Lucha Libre event; I highly recommend attending a Lucha Libre event if your itinerary allows!

Very poor soundproofing of the rooms, both from the corridors and from the street. You can hear every passing car and the hum of bus engines waiting for passengers outside the hotel from early morning. Attentive and helpful staff, but who do not speak English.

Nice hotel with big rooms and comfortable big beds. Good location not far from historical centre of the city. Walking distance from main atractions of the downtown. Clean rooms, cleaned daily. Safe neighbourhood.

Nice place but noisy asians around
    • Business trip
    • Solo traveller

There is a group of asians always in the lobby on their elphones which is sooooo weird. Seems to be the owners as they are there the whole day; one of them super noisy (talking...not talking yelling on the phone since really early (around 8 am) and the guy placed on the top of open garden where makes the most of the echoe!!!!

Near to barrio chino, away from noise and traffic. Location ok. Frontdesk girl really nice and friendly. It's a safe area but by the night doesn't seem ideal to be walking around. Public transport is very near, by walking distance around 10 min. Amenities around too.

The only very small detail is that there was no way to completely close the shower cabin from the rest of the room but only half way meaning that part of the bathroom was semi flooded when showering

I knew the hotel from last year where I was really satisfied and did therefore decide to go for it this year too. Good money/value deal with only a few minutes walking to Bella Artes and the area around and less than half an hours walking to Zocalo

There’s no mirror in the bathroom (but there’s a large one in the room, so that was okay). There’s lots of noise from the street and from the guests themselves (bring ear plugs).

The location of the hotel is excellent! The room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. There are two sets of window blinds to block the light, which is great for you sensitive types!

The room has no external windows, which means that basically there's no natural light. A couple of plugs near the bed would be nice too.

The position is excellent since it is located at a walking distance from the main central attractions (Alameda, Bellas Artes, Zócalo) and it's close to the metro station, which is also good if you need to go to the airport. The room was clean and the staff was friendly, with a smooth check in process. We could also leave our luggages for free in the deposit after the check out.

None of the staff speak English - just Spanish and not always a helpful attitude. The breakfast service was abysmal for us - 1x omelette and a fruit bowl was ordered and 2 omelettes received. There was a huge refusal to serve what we ordered. I had to take the 2nd omelette back to the counter physically and when the bill arrived it said 2 x omelettes which was removed finally but not without protest. I shall not miss this breakfast scenario. Not worse for 2 other days but not brilliant.

The location of the hotel and the main barman is not shy in asking for his tips - quite amusing.

The restaurant that is attached is not good. It is unusual for my husband to order something and leave food on the plate. The coffee is bad. Powdered creamer, no milk. If not for the restaurant I would give the hotel a 10. However, the restaurant was always lively with guests, so other people did not mind.

The hotel is spotless, room, lobby, hallways. The room was well thought out, with outlets and dresser. It was just the size we needed. We asked for a fan to help the ventilation and this worked fine. It was generally quiet. The location was great for us, within walking distance to the Zocalo, museums, metro. A great market within 2 blocks. 2 cafes across and down the street.

Good location for the historical centre and also close to some of the more local bars, restaurants and parks. Great size rooms and bathrooms (had a king room), adjoining bar/restaurant which also does breakfasts. I was there at a weekend and the breakfast room was very busy with not enough staff but the breakfasts looked great.
