The prices for drinks and food are way too high, l'd recommend taking the 10 minute walk or uber to the pier/ city. I understand to pay for the convenience of the resort but you're not even allowed to bring your own drinks to the pool area. Also note there are currently 3 buildings being remodeled which causes some noise and dust during the day.

We cannot go swimming at the Solmar beachfront, where offered extremely pleasant view and the neat sand beach! Our package included the breakfast, which excluded the water bottle and which offered buffet or the breakfast menu set with the juice or the fruit.

The good resort and the facility offered overall service that exceeded my expectations. Activities in daytime and nighttime were various. Nice music and outdoor events! There were multiple onsite restaurants offered different cuisines. Within 10 minutes, you could take a walk to other local beach to swim by the sea or to the downtown with many shops and restaurants to enjoy holidays!

Catching a urinary infection from pool.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Expensive if u r not on meal plan. But key issue is health: 2 family members contracted urinary tract infections, probably from pool or perhaps sheets/towels. Never happened before. Other members caught colds. Booking dot com doesn't get off Scott free on this review either: extremely misleading final advertised price meant hidden fees which added 25% to total cost. Didn't know until we checked in. Not hotels fault. Utterly booking dot com sneaky small print approach. Will not be using this app in the future.

Construction ongoing within hotel during stay including at night and early morning. Room should’ve been discounted. Can’t swim in the ocean at the resort because it’s dangerous, wish had known that ahead of time as it is not mentioned on their site. Charged extra for every little thing.

You can’t swim in the ocean. But I knew that ahead of time so it was no big deal.

It is beautiful and in the perfect location. It is very much a resort with the beauty and amenities but just a short walk from town.

Our showers temperature was super messed up. Was either burning hot or freezing.

The pools were great! Loved the scene by the pool, very pretty and clean. Good drink/ food service there too.

I wish we had more food options on the property. We had to make reservations for two out of the three places, and the food took a really long time to serve.

I liked the location and the deluxe suite that we stayed in, in particular. Our deluxe suite (one room, pull out Murphy bed in living room and two bathrooms which was great) had its own separate pool area which other parts of the resort did not have access to which I appreciated because it didn’t feel crowded. We were also walking distance from the downtown/center area by the pier and the night clubs/bars/restaurants. Staff were super nice, friendly and accommodating. Would definitely go back.

We didn't do AI because we like exploring other restaurants and bars. The prices are expensive if you order drinks and food poolside but it's that way at every resort.

We loved our stay at Playa Grande! Everything from the rooms to the pools to the staff. The staff were exceptional. It truly felt like we were in paradise. Gorgeous gardens and pools. We had a blast and will stay here again when we come back to cabo.

Expensive area. The resort prices are in USD and not in Mexican peso. Hidden fees and add ons for the activities. People will try to haggle and make a deal to make money. You cannot swim on the beach in front of resort, it is not allowed. Sheets and towels are a little rough. Rooms are outdated but still clean.

It was generally a nice experience to have especially for a big family with kids. We booked 3 rooms total and requested a room close together but since it wasn't available they put us in a penthouse for one night which was very cool! Also, we thought we booked for the all-inclusive feature but turned out we didn't upon checking in so we had to pay $120 per adult to avail it. The beach in front of the resort is not swimmable/no one is allowed to swim which was a bummer but there's a beach close by near the Marina, about 10mins walk. A number of pools are an alternative and bars everywhere in the resort for our drinks! Love that the resort is super close to the Marina and everything is close by. We enjoyed that with the all-inclusive we didn't have to think where to go for food, esp with kids in tow. They got 4 restaurants (buffet breakfast, steakhouse, sports bar, and The Ridge). Staff are all very nice but they expect tips everywhere. We loved the Mexican fiesta on Monday Night, we has so much fun!!

Maria working at the front desk put us in a room in the basement where we had to take two elevators and go up the hill. The doors were slamming. Our room 3049 had mold. We complained to Maria and she did not move us saying there were no other rooms. We were later moved to a different room 1122 by a gentleman Angel.

The resort is beautiful. Breakfast was awesome too. They cleaned our rooms everyday. Polite was very polite.

The rooms are very old, the beds and furniture are super uncomfortable.

The location of the hotel is good, close to everything. The pool area is excellent, as is the beach area. The food at the pool is excellent and they have happy hour at the pool bar. The service is excellent.

While the staff were friendly, the service was very slow, particularly for dinners and check-in. The hot water in the shower was inconsistent, although the water pressure was great. The outdoor hot tubs were fine, but I would have preferred hotter water (at least for the adult-only hot tubs).

The room was very nice. Our suite accommodated a family of 4 with a sofa bed and a separate fold out cot so that our teens didn't have to share a bed. The cleaning staff did an excellent job. Our view was a pool / partial ocean view and it was lovely. I liked the hotel facilities - the quantity of pools, restaurants, and bars. The sushi / sashimi / ceviche options were excellent. The beach is very quiet and immaculately clean, although you have to go to a nearby beach if you want to swim in the ocean. They throw weekly parties on the beach and ours was a blast - great entertainment, good food.

The food was just ok. Food and drinks were very expensive! We were very disappointed that you can't really walk on the beach there let alone get in the water.
