Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThere was no A/C anywhere. The funny part is that when we asked about it, the staff said the AC was running and the temperature was fine. LOL. I love hot weather, and I handle it well, but the truth is that many guests (and my 7-year-old and my husband included) ate in the restaurants at the resort with t-shirts soaked with sweat. My husband did not like to be sweating everywhere in the resort (except for the area of the elevators on each floor and the rooms). We did not enjoy much else, but we kind of understand that it happens: there are a huge number of Coatíes living in the resort, mostly on roofs, under bushes, and also under the Balinese beds around the pool. They are a type of raccoon that would eat anything you leave by your towels for a second. As soon as you look to the other way, they would jump and eat it. You literally could not order food at the pool and stop eating for a bit and go swim at the pool. I saw coatíes going into beach bags and purses too if they happened to smell something that may be food. It was funny at first but annoying when you had some fruit to snack on here and there while swimming and they would constantly steal it.
We upgraded to Nikté and we had a wonderful and personalized attention by our concierge Emmanuel Baraza. He changed our minibar to have only the 3-4 kind of drinks we needed for our family of 4. He would come into the room when we were out to set up games for our boys (5 and 7 years old) a couple of days, he also brought another day a nice artisan handmade Mexican style backpack for each with a small kids and environment friendly sunscreen and insect repellent. Another day, he left 1 stuff animal (axolotls) for each kid with information about such an unique animal who lives only in a certain area in México. Also, we had a visit to an open and a close cenote with our upgrade and was THE BEST activity to do with our kids. There, we cliff jumped to the cenote and go down to it in a zipline. It was REALLY FUN!

United StatesThe property needs to be maintained a little better. Repair work done on walls. 24 hour coffee bar was not open at 6:30 am so we couldn’t get coffee before an excursion. Room service food was not very good. The steakhouse was closed.
Nice layout. Lots of restaurants. Raul the concierge was very helpful and made our stay very comfortable. Swim up Suite was amazing. The swim up bar was awesome. The Teppanyaki restaurant was very fun and food was great. Excellent food and service in Capella.

United Statesthe rooms could have been better designed. the toilet door is a glass door with no lock, and there is huge glass window between the bedroom and the bathroom. as a result, there is ZERO privacy for using the bathroom.
the property was beautifully designed and decorated. the family vs adults only lay out is genius.

United StatesThe pool is very deep. Its over 5 ft everywhere but in the kid's pool. I couldn't get drinks at the swim up without sitting at the bar because I couldn't touch in the pool bottom anywhere. It was difficult to bring your kids anywhere on rafts or even with floaties if you cannot touch the bottom of the pool. It was way too deep for a main pool. Our room had a great Ocean view, but we were right above the restaurant and couldn't open the doors without smelling food the entire time. There is no couch in the room despite the pictures. There is only 1 swim up bar, there are waiters, but they are hard to come by in the kid's section.
The hotel was really nice and upscale. The food was great and there were a lot of options. The Friday night carnival games and pirates at the pool were a great hit for the kids.

ColombiaThe bartenders look at your wrist all the time and if you were not premium wristband then they sometimes ignore you for the person that does have it, not all but the majority. Difficult to put a donut bar in the entrance of our room, and we were not able to take it because we were not premium, having 2 kids of 4 and 5 is quite difficult to ignore it and not have a donut, so a couple of cries were part of the trip.
The food is really food, the restaurants with food options. The amount and diversity over the pools is really good. Two great options for the kids on the pools, it was a lot of fun for them.

CanadaThe air conditioning was a llittle loud and woke us up a few times and we did mention that the fridge in our room was not working however not got fixed. The room was well appointed however.
Our pool service area server was Laura and she was amazing. We cannot say enough about her. She was extremely busy but always met us with a smile and day two didn't need to ask what we were wanting as she already new, It was mine and my daughters birthday while we were there and they couldn't do enough to make our day special, We are so grateful for the amazing service. Luis the pool concierge was truly amazing as well. Made our stay very memorable.

DenmarkI thought the property was old and run down. During our stay, repairs were being made but these seemed to be only surface level. The hotel needs a complete remodel as it feels and appears old and outdated.
I liked the hammock section on the adults only part along with the beach, which was very clean and tidy.

IsraelThe hotel is not as good as it was a few years ago and everything requires an update. They charge $20 per hour for a late checkout. Visitors from outside are not allowed to visit you, even if it's just to sit and talk. One of my friends came to visit and they treated her poorly, making it difficult for her to leave. The maintenance is okay but not great. We had a room with a connected door to another room with a very noisy family, which made it feel like they were in our room. Make sure you don't have any connected door. The food is okay; you won't be hungry, but don't expect chef restaurant-level quality.
The staff are very friendly, especially Joel, the waiter in the Naos buffet. The pools are nice and friendly, not crowded, and they allow you to eat and drink in the pool.
