Everything was perfect- not ONE bad thing to say!

Absolutely gorgeous bungalow, beach was pristine, water was crystal clear. Every single thing about our stay was above and beyond, from the room service for every meal if we wanted (the room service breakfast on our private ocean view patio was our favorite!!!), the outings and parties and activities all included, like kayaking, snorkeling, catamaran, the Mexican party with Mayan dancers and mariachi and authentic Mexican cuisine, the staff were all absolutely amazing and kind and went above and beyond, especially Alberto, Will, Danny, Leobardo, Josue, Marlene, Shirim, everyone was just so kind and friendly and the attention to detail in every aspect was incredible. The outdoor shower, HUGE jacuzzi, private pool on our deck, private tanning deck with sea stairs into the ocean, the bed was so comfortable, we just felt like royalty and never wanted to leave. We will be back again and again!!!

The food was amazing and the people treated us so well! The bungalow was amazing. The whole trip is a once in a lifetime trip you should do if you have the chance. We rode camels and jet skis! I hope to be back again one day!

Nothing bad, everything was perfect!

Everything! Literally everything!! The property is gorgeous, the staff was amazing and so welcoming and so attentive! I absolutely loved the stay and will be coming back!! This was the most royal 5 star treatment. I can’t say enough great things about this resort! Enrique and Fernando were the most amazing hosts/butlers! They need to be paid more because they deserve it 100%! They made our stay there so much better.

Seaweed by the bungalows closer to the beach… not resort fault and they cleaned it everyday!!

Very relaxed. Nothing left for us to do other than enjoy our time there. Enrique, Fernando, the ladies at the restaurant were all excellent.

Nothing really. We went on an all-day excursion to Isla Mujeres and we were very disappointed. We should have just stayed on the property all week!

Palifatos Overwater Bungalows exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, the 24/7 butler service made us feel like true VIPs. The food was absolutely 5-star, with every meal being a culinary delight. The location is perfection—crystal clear waters, vibrant marine life visible through the glass-bottom floors, and stunning views at every turn. The private cabana service with picnic lunches added a touch of luxury to our beach days, and the evening entertainment on the beach was a perfect way to unwind. The spa experience was nothing short of incredible—pure relaxation! Every detail of our stay was thoughtfully planned, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel special on our anniversary and throughout our trip. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and you can have all the food and drink that you would like 24 hours a day. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. We were pampered and relaxed.

The lighting in the bathroom and dressing area was terrible. We had to use a flashlight to find cloths we put in the closet. The patio and deck furniture was uncomfortable and dated as well. Our plunge pool kept running low on water and made loud sucking/gurgling sounds and kept us awake or woke us up. Adding water didn't fix the problem. The "Butler" concept is poor. We had several different butlers and we didn't know the proper one to call or text. The only way to get room service was through the butler so we went without. We weren't notified of special events on the property or adjoining properties. A daily flyer or some method of notification aside from the butler would have helped.

The location was nice and the beaches beautiful and well manicured. The bungalow was of decent size but the furnishings dated. The food was good and the service acceptable.

We were told 36 hours before our arrival that our price would be double for our overwater bungalow -since it was booked under one person even though we communicated very often with the hotel that it was for a anniversary. After many phone calls w/ booking and hotel for several days-we were able to get the manager who was able to cut the extra thousands of dollars in half ,so that we could check in. The odd thing is is that I formally worked for hotels and was very proactive in contacting the hotel for activities etc. etc. as this was a 10 year wedding anniversary ,but was told that we would have a Butler contact us 3 days prior to arrival and no worries needed. (which never did). Of course when we got to the property all of the activities we wanted to do were fully booked for our duration.. doh! additionally another disappointment is there were activities each day outside of the paid for activities and one was to meet the camels because the rides were all booked and we checked all the way to the end of the beach with the group to meet the camels and they weren’t there the heat… Im not gonna harp on the fact that when we arrived there was lots of alagea and seaweed in the view from the bungalows was murky because that is mother nature. however they did have a valiant effort on the beach of trying to clean it up and our second day in the state was clear enough for us to see some fishes under our bungalow which was really exciting. Paola at check in was what saved us from arriving unhappy. Her passion for the company and upbeat personality are unmatched in right really hope she goes far with kharisma hotels!! and the second day she randomly saw us walking and immediately decided to take us on a tour of the property and we were floored by how much she cared about our individual stay. We mostly dined at the restaurant for the bungalows and in room service. The restaurant was impeccable.. food was delicious and they were very aware of my gluten allergy..

obviously it’s a one-of-a-kind property in Mexico with the overwater bungalow, high end quality rooms and butler service. Very exclusive and safe feeling on property.
