We love the location and the staff here at the Krystal. They have made some very nice updates and seem to be constantly trying to improve. The hotel is kept clean. Cconsidering it's a beach resort that is no small task! I also felt comfortable and safe! It's our 4th time to Ixtapa and our 3rd at the Krystal. We'll be back!

United KingdomThe hotel seems stuck in the 80s with so many things not working starting with an elevator that does not work, so we had to queue up for minutes before we could get on one of the 2 working ones. The 2 working ones have buttons falling off or not lighting up! Learners have to help people from high floors (11 in total) down stairs with suitcases. Pool area needs painting of the floors as the paint is scratched in many areas resulting in very slippery floors. Light switches not working in some rooms, toilet making a ringing noise all night, toilet not flushing properly. Just too many small things. Food was terrible when we arrived with old bread served for breakfast, salty soups and diluted juices. It got better as I think they may get their supplies at some point during the week so at least bread was fresh.

MexicoThe should increase the number of lifts, there were only 3 lifts for such a big hotel with so many floors and so many guests. Most of the times we had to take the stairs because the lift wouldn’t come, this was highly inconvenient. Also during check out hours there was a huge queue as only one receptionist was attending everyone. Also, there should be some option for buying water or some snacks during night, after 11PM everything is shut down and you cannot even get water.
We stayed there for 5 nights. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The balcony was very big and the view was great. The staff were very polite and always ready to assist. The pool was clean and well maintained. The buffet was good and had a lot of variety.

CanadaElevators closed on us a few times so we had to watch for it. Miscommunication between departments. They need a better customer service by phone and by e-mail. There was a misunderstanding with my payment and supposedly they cancelled my reservation but other department said they didn't do it was very stressful before getting there. Once I was there it was a good experience but the misunderstanding and stress prior to it would have been better if they would have communicated better between departments and if they had a prompt response team.
The food was fantastic. Real mexican food and tasty. My kids loved playing in the ocean with the waves more than Cancun because the water was clean and no rocks to step on. We even went for a run barefoot early in the morning. The sand felt great in your feet.

BelgiumThe drinks were not good at all, I've been in many all-inclusive hotels and I can say the drinks were bad bad bad. So this really downgrades a bit the full experience of an all-inclusive hotel.
The location was great, the hotel very nice, the food very good (mostly Mexican in the mornings and afternoons, and some international cuisine as theme dinners at night), and the pool pleasantly warm and not cold at all. As a Mexican myself, I can say that I enjoyed my stay here very much and my whole family feels the same way. The hotel organised many activities, such as a free dolphin show, dance classes, etc.

MexicoI dont like some policies, like if you loose your towel cards you are going to be charged $30 USD each one, same if you loose your keys. You are suppose to relax and this doesn't help. Also, if you have kids you have to take dinner reservations at 7 at most, and you have to be like 15 minutes before, with no swimming clothes. So that means that you have to leave the beach and/or pools at 6 at most, way before sunset. And the pools close at 8 pm so you can't even get to the pools after dinner. Bad policies for night owl people like us.
