The room was not clean properly and the room looked like older than the pics in booking.com. Also, there was no information about the wifi and there was no one at the reception to give us more info about it.

The location was really good. However, play del Carmen was facing sargassum issues during this time. So despite the beach being in front of the hotel, we didn’t enjoyed really well.

Maintenance

Sink faucet had very little flow and shower head broken. AC cooled great but a little too much as it ran continuously. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Great location.

A bit rundown but overall a good stay for 1 night. Being right on the beach was nice, just unfortunate to have a club right next door. Sunrise in the morning was gorgeous.

When we booked the add said high speed internet throughout the property and early check in and late check out. We didn’t receive any of that. No internet or reception in either of our rooms making it difficult to work or be contactable. No early check in so we had to leave our bags at reception and wait around till 3pm. Room is very dated, kitchen could do with updating and replacing lights in the room as they’re very dark. Shower heads need replacing as they’re corroded.

Could use an upgrade, as other people have mentioned. Lots of things falling apart. Has 5 stars on booking.com but certainly does not seem like 5 stars, except for the location. Check in was at 15:00 not 14:00 as advertised on booking.com. Early checkin was included in the offer, but not available when we arrived.

Location is 20/10. On the beach, but with easy access to the action on 5th avenue. Very quiet at night - some other spots I have stayed have pounding music into the wee hours. The cleaning lady did a good job! Sadly, the "kitchenette" is horrible - only one burner worked, there were insufficient pots, and the fridge wasn't clean.

I like that the property is beachfront and that it is central to all the restaurants and clubs. Also, I appreciate that there is someone on property 24/7 & feel safe here.

No access by street. You have to walk on the beach for a few meters and climb the rubbish leftovers from seaweeds.

As it gets sandy inside it would be great if they provided a broom. And fix the second burner!

We had the Superior Double Ocean View (of which there are two) which has a large balcony right on the beach. It's a terrific location. The apartment itself has seen better days but the beds were great, the bathroom functional if a bit worn and the kitchen had only one working burner but the fridge was cold. We often ate take away from Falafel Nessya (outstanding and healthy) or Gusto Gourmet (burritos) on the deck. Lively beach scene and private at the same time. Great staff. We felt very safe.

Playa del Carmen is loud and the hotel is in the center of the action. Even on the beach directly in front of the hotel, there is always music blasting from several directions. We found we could escape the worst of it by moving down the beach a bit, but it's just part of the Playa scene. Be prepared. Thankfully our room was relatively quiet, so we were able to sleep just fine.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our third floor room had a nice view of the ocean and high ceilings that kept the room cool. the location provides easy access to the beach and the area's night life.

Didn’t have a place to seat inside the room although it was a small room empty which maybe a small wooden tabla with chairs. It was coffee machine but not filters, not even a microwave

No signage once you get to the end of the road (which ends at the beach) to tell you the hotel entrance is from the beach only, which was a bit difficult with a luggage to pull through the sand at 10pm.

Great location right on the beach! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The morning late afternoon views are wonderful! Bar on the beach serving drinks and food. Massages on the beach are expensive but good. PADI dive centre around the corner. The main pedestrian street is about 100 meters away and is lively with many restaurants and shops. Lots of Canadians seem to stay during my time there.
