It was disappointing that there was no Wi-Fi in our room, especially since the website advertised free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. In addition, there was a lot of noise during the night, which made it difficult to sleep. Overall, an okay stay, but with a few important downsides.

The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly. The swimming pool was well maintained and the rooms were tidy. Close to the beach and city center.

The location is perfect only one street to cross from the beach! Decoration of the room is nice. The pool is big and has space to sit down. Erick, the receptionist was great, he's very helpful. He recommended us a tour and booked it for us. The tour was awesome!

Such a lovely, spacious room. Amazing shower & bath. Super friendly employees. Location was great 2min walk to the beach & center. Huge swimming pool. Just a 12min walk to the port of Holbox.

The showers are small and have no doors or curtains. Nearly the entire bathroom gets covered in water from shower splash even when trying to avoid splashing. Installing a shower curtain would be a very cost efficient solution and would have greatly upgraded our experience.

The location was great and the room accommodation was a fantastic value for the price.

so first of all the location is honestly pretty amazing it‘s very close to the beach and close to all the viral/ well known places no longer than 5 min to walk. its was amazing to stay there the pool is super cool fyi it‘s a little on the cooler side temperature wise. i travelled with my friend and what we didn‘t like was the open shower there‘s really not much privacy otherwise lovely

We stayed on the ground floor by the pool. The pool had sand surrounding it and you could not rinse your feet before entering your room. Would have been nice to have a bucket of water outside your door to rinse your feet off (like we saw at some other hotels). We took our shoes off as soon as we entered the room but still managed to get sand all over the concrete floor. First place we've stayed that did not furnish bottled water. We purchased our own larger bottle for drinking water, but it would have been nice to have a couple of small bottles for brushing your teeth, etc. Storage for clothes, etc. was absolutely minimal (okay for a couple of days but would really be a problem for staying longer). The small blocks of wood for bedside tables looked great but were too small for much more than a water bottle.

Location. Location. Location. Located next to the beach and Centro. The price was exceptional for the location. Very comfortable bed. Modern, minimalist look. All concrete (floor, walls, ceiling, built-ins in the bathroom). Thick, black-out shades for the window.

They made a big point of mentioning not to dirty the towels or sheets with stains or we would be charged, yet when I looked at the sheets on the bed when we arrived they weren’t crisp white and so I had to take photos just incase. Only other thing is that you could hear noises from outside the room quite clearly throughout the night which was annoying. The room also didn’t have a safe.

The room was a really nice design and looked over the pool. Bed was comfy and room mostly clean. The location was great, everything close by, including the beach which was a 30 second walk. Staff were all helpful and friendly. fan on the ceiling was great. We didn’t use the pool or jacuzzi but it looked nice.

Every day they wanted to know if we required the room to be cleaned, perhaps there are travellers who don’t want a clean room? Maybe to save the planet? In that case, don’t travel!

The suite was very large and the bathroom was gigantic. Very comfortable! I loved it.

There are some nights where the nightclub on the beach (100m away) goes on and on until 06:30am, and that is the major annoyance and isn’t even the hotel’s fault.

Macondo is walking distance to everything you want in Holbox - the beach, cool restaurants and shops. You won’t have a dull moment in Holbox. The pool area is also great but could do with a few extra sun beds. The king rooms are really nice and spacious.

This isn’t the fault of the hotel, but a couple of bars on the beach blast trashy club music until 3 am. It impacts all hotels in the area, and a pair of earplugs handled the problem, but it was unpleasant :(

Perfect location to explore Holbox! A quick hop to the beach and plenty of amazing restaurants, but not directly adjacent to any loud beach bars. The rooms were stylish and impeccably clean, and the concrete finishing made for very a practical home base when we’d come home sandy/beachy each night. The staff were so warm and welcoming - arranged us taxis and made my mom feel like a VIP in the upper suite for her birthday 💕 would absolutely recommend this hotel for any visit to Hoblox!!

Pool not clear due to sand from beach and grounds and so it’s too cloudy to see underwater steps and wall partitions. Plus, jacuzzi pool water is too cold due to layout of pool. During my stay I didn’t see anyone get into the jacuzzi section of the pool.

Great location and very easy access to beach/restaurants/shops/events. Staff is very responsive to concerns. Due to sewer drainage of building, my room shower area began to have a foul smell. Staff immediately identified the problem with the shower drain and rectified the issue.
