How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe food the staff was great. Samara was a great help and so friendly and Julio was funny and fast. Jesus in the buffet was so hardworking. We enjoyed the aerobics and volleyball in the pool with Francisco and Sebastian. Overall the staff was the best.
The sound from the freeway in our room was very loud. They said that there was nothing they could do about it.

Verified reviewThe only thing that I liked was that it was clean outside there’s not very much I could say that I liked about the location.
When you arrive, you’re supposed to be able to check into your room after three I didn’t get to check into my room till almost 5. The Internet sucks terribly they closed the snack bar down at five which it has flies all over the food. They just let flies land on your drinks your food before they serve you so disgusting it will give you diarrhea. Everything is shut down at six everything and you are scammed on the excursions Cabo would never be a place I would ever visit again and I would never recommend to visit that country. There’s so many better ones like Cancun in Tulum. The beach also sucked. The water was emerald green. I could get that in California. There was nothing spectacular and it looks like a desert everywhere you go there’s cactuses dirt Just there’s far more better places to go.

Verified reviewWhen I arrived at the hotel I was interrupted by this man trying to sell me excursions. When I kindly told him that we were tired from the travel, maybe another day he responded with “ don’t come with your rudeness and listen to me” The next day I sat by the pool until 10:00 am when I went to the bar areas simply for water where I was told that they weren’t ready….not even for water? Thursday at 2 pm I went back to my room to taken a nap and drilling and maintenance was being done right outside my room 2707. Let of chattering, laughing loudly between workers, metal clanging….banging where I then had to put in headphones to relax. Bathroom door in the hotel didn’t close. It required a very strong and loud push that especially in the middle of the night, woke my daughter up every time. Upgrade to have acess to rooftop and hot-tub there which was still dirty water and was also cold. Loud music and talking all night from neighboring room (balcony) no consideration Mini bar never filled when room cleaned. Very very bad rotting water smell every where on the property. Cleaning ladies barging into the room not once put twice (accidentally ) and then apologizing Even when tables available turning people away and asking them to come back within 45+ min Got here 8:30 pm still waiting for appetizer and main 9:20 pm. The whole experience was rough. I will be pasting this to the public review page because it isn’t fair.

Verified reviewThe view from my room was nice but there were stains on the furniture. The food wasn’t good, the drinks were ok, the waves were rough so we couldn’t get in the ocean, and even though it was “all inclusive” we had to pay for room service.

Verified reviewThe Altitude Tower is direct Ocean Front. Was not happy at all with my Ocean View offered on this site. Overlooked Resort and pools. No patio furniture. Took over one hour to repair a/c. The next day we upgraded for 100.00 additional per night. We were in heaven. Patio furniture and direct ocean front. Watch whales from your balcony. Made to order breakfast from The Grill. Drinks on the rooftop. Rooftop pool is small and pointless. Should have some shade on rooftop. Chairs were hard to come by at pools. Nice coffee shop. Staff amazing everywhere in Resort. Nice plate sent to my room on my birthday-
Lack of chairs No shade on rooftop, very limited shade at pools. Unless you were upgraded to Altitude, no seating on beach. Should have lounge chairs and umbrellas on beach. Ran out of a few Premium Liquors- Older property, well maintained.
