Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe building is old and not maintained well. The Deluxe Ocean view room decor was similar to a Days Inn. The number a size of the cracks in the building structure made me uncomfortable. Pool is small. Food is just okay
Staff is excellent although they were a little too much at times. View on the windward side is exceptional.

United StatesIt was impossible to get reservations the entire week at the restaurants. You had to line up the day before to book at exactly 3pm. It was a ridiculous system every single day we could not get a table. The buffet was mediocre to bad so we ended up walking to town for dinner almost every night. Really disappointed
Location is great with a short walk to town and very pretty beach.

SpainThe facilities are basic, the hotel services could be improved and so could the restaurants.
The location is spectacular overlooking the most beautiful beach on Isla Mujeres with several beach clubs nearby. The hotel itself is clean and agreeable if a little dated. The hotel restaurants are okay rather than great, however there are many great restaurants just a short walk into town.

CanadaI want to give an honest review and even though we loved most things there were a few things that we did not like (or had higher expectations given the expensive price of the rooms). We stayed in one of the villas at the very end of the property on the Caribbean side. Our room always felt a little damp and drying out bathing suits and towels was very difficult. Even our bed sheets felt a little moist at all times. We had to call to get help with our air conditioning unit 3 times before it was actually fixed because it was set too cold for us and we wanted to turn it off but you need to keep it on all the time or things would be even more damp (they had to replace the controller and then the screen). There were 3 small tile stairs in the room that were uneven heights and they blend in and the floor was often damp and sandy. 2 of us fell down them during our trip. I don't recommend staying in the villas if you are elder and/or have mobility/ vision issues. There are not many places to hang a wet towel for drying inside the room except inside the shower and nothing dries on the balcony because the water is right there. We ran out of hot water a few times so we were not able to take even a very short warm shower after beaching all day. My booking said that there would be one bed and a pull out couch but there was not so we did not get what we expected (one of our rooms at adult siblings that thought they'd have their own bed each - so they brought in a single bed) One thing to note - and this is common around Cancun, is that you are not allowed to flush toilet paper in the toilet, there is always a bin next to the toilet which took some getting used to and we had to call the plumber once.
You can't beat the location. The beaches are spectacular. The staff was great, they were very hard working and they took great care of us. The daily activities were fun and brought the guests together which was special. I enjoyed the food very much. There is the main buffet which had a great variety of foods. Nobody in our group had any food sickness and we ate the fruits and salads and buffet. There were also 2 restaurants and we ate at both. The food and service was very good.

CanadaExtremely dated rooms with black mould and we could see in our hotel room looking into the hallway. We were in room 6007. The food was awful. Our sink leaked in our bathroom. No night life at all. No food selection besides “continental” breakfast, lunch, dinner…. Extremely minimal selection. We booked an ocean view room with KING SIZED bed for our 10 year wedding anniversary and we got 2 double beds. Extremely uncomfortable beds. This place needs to close until they can honestly take money to re model this place.

CanadaDidn't have enough variety for food. It was difficult to get a good Latte or Cappuccino, because there's only 1 machine and sometimes it runs out of milk.

LatviaI had higher expectations for the service at the bars, as well as for the quality of spirits given the price we paid.
The essence of this hotel revolves around its prime location. Situated on a small island connected to Isla Mujeres by a bridge, it offers breathtaking beaches, stunning sunsets, and crystal-clear waters. The dinner offered delicious food, and a must-visit spot is the chevicheria.

United StatesThis is a 5 star for staff and location but more like a 3 for all inclusive. This was our 4th stay and every year there is less. No shows and no activities at all. Unless you plan to lay on the beach or swim in the ocean all day. This is not the place for you.

United StatesMaria's dinner was not good. We were so disappointed that we canceled our 2nd-night dinner. The pool was warm to hot water. It felt more like a hot tub than a swimming pool. The sales pressure for timeshare and future stays was excessive. We were there to relax, not to be pressed for commitments on future stays. This was way over the top and may make the difference in whether we will visit again, or not. The birds were annoying and smelly. Some of the walkways to units were covered in bird feces. They were being painted rather than pressure washed.
Roberto, Perna, Antonio, and Isreal were amazing staff members. We felt very comfortable with them on a daily bases. You have gems with these people. The location and ocean, seawater, and rocks were amazingly beautiful.
