Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Our Habitas San Miguel is a secluded oasis. Even though it's only a 10 minute away from the historic city centre, you feel like you are in the middle of nature. The facilities, amenities, food and drinks, and service were all fantastic. Our entire stay was flawless, and every member of the Habitas team went out of their way to make us feel special.

NetherlandsThe restaurant was good but a little too pricy.
What a great place to stay! I loved the bungalow at the front side with direct views over the field and hills at the background. It looked a bit like being on the African savannah with animals which could pass by any moment. They have a nicely decorated indoor restaurant with views and heaters for colder mornings and evenings. Personnel was super friendly and accommodating. Muchísimas gracias!

United StatesI have to think more to find it!
This is my number 9 or 10 visit in San Miguel over the last 6 years. There is nothing like this place in San Miguel with this rate. Obviously I stayed in many casa and hotels in beautiful San Miguel. This one is away from the noise of bells in San Miguel! If you are sensitive to noise, then you know I mean. No noise of bells in here. And yet it is very very close the main city. The hotel is in Valle de Los Senderos. Nothing far from the other parts of San Miguel, but it is a very exclusive place. There was bicycle here available too. The rooms are built separate from each other on a elevated poles. There is a beautiful nature around you, on top of a hill. You have a 360 view. the main part of San Miguel can be seen from this hill. Certainly a place to stay there.

You have essentials including books to remind us to rest and unwind. The staff went over and above expectations.

United KingdomReally recommend having a coffee machine in the room. Tiny touches just improve the whole experience and as jet-lagged travellers, waiting until 8 to get coffee was a bit blerugh. The whole hotel has potential but it feels a bit unfinished. That's noone's fault and it will be amazing when it's finally been built, but I did get a - new homes on a building site vibe to a degree. Plants feel like they were planted yesterday and the small things (remembering to be given cutlery at breakfast etc) just weren't there. Plus, we found someone else's sanitary towels in the pocket of a bathrobe which...suggests cleaning could be improved. Communication with staff was a bit tricky because not everyone spoke English, but that's my problem really for not being better at Spanish.
This hotel has SO much potential. Was really beautiful and peaceful to come here after a few hectic days in Mexico City. The brunch at the weekend was incredible (try to book over a weekend if you can!). The firepit was amazing. So peaceful. And the rooms/cabins with their little terraces were gorgeous. The complementary taxi into town was a nice touch and only took 15 mins or so. Loved the 'beach' area. It was a bit cold when we visited so we didn't use it as much as we'd have liked but the touches were amazing – natural spring fed swimming lake and paddleboards. Awesome. I also LOVED the concierge via WhatsApp. Took the stress out of the trip.

GermanyThe rooms got veeeery cold at night so much so that you have to sleep with several layers to not wake up in the middle of the night. There is no possibility of heating it. The tipping culture here takes getting used to. Even for the included breakfast we had staff running after us to get tipped. Considering the room price that felt a bit desperate.
Everything was super nice and everybody lively and accomodating. It was hard to find as the google maps location doenst show the right entrance. But once we made it it was great. The food was very good although pretty pricy especially considering the tipping culture here that we re not used to.

SwitzerlandIt would have been nice to have had a tea kettle and tea in the bedroom for the price of this hotel. The workout equipment could be upgraded.
The people working there were great. Everyone made you feel welcome. Especially Maria from the Restaurant. The bed is comfy, its super relaxing to be out in nature and waking up to the stunning view. It was always very clean and everything exceeded my expectations. I loved the workout and art classes. Its also a great place if you‘re travelling solo.

United StatesThings that we didn't like: We had a tough time getting hot water in the shower. The area with the toilet is a bit more open than we expected. (mesh door) Pillows were very uncomfortable for us. Held air in awkwardly. Upon our arrival there was no one at reception (more of a staffing issue). A few times our whatsapp messages went unseen. Finally, when we were ready to check out they warned us to give them 15 minutes. Reasoning for this was that after we left the room, the staff would then go in and tally up our snack/bar purchases prior to your leaving. We had placed a tab of $100 dollars per day on hold with the hotel which we got back the balance immediately, but if I were to stay again, I don't think I would have bothered with this. NOT A COMPLAINT....just a suggestion: This hotel desperately needs a pool. It would keep guests there during the day eating and drinking rather than going into town. We purchased a day-pass at the Rosewood to sit by the pool and spent money at their bar instead. Would have been LOVELY to have this experience at our own hotel.
Things that we loved: Beautiful location outside the heart of San Miguel. Quiet. Dark at night. Wonderful food. Comfy bed. Daily cleaning service. Note: The shuttle service is a taxi that you'll communicate over whatsapp with the front desk to coordinate. You get 1 service per day. Give yourself an average of 35-40 minutes to get these taxis on either end. Use Bajiogoshuttle.com to get to and from the hotel! They will be at the airport waiting for you (with your name on a plaque) and are MUCH more affordable and reliable than any other service we found. 5 stars.

United KingdomThe location was so stunning, serene, secluded. Perfect place to spend a couple of days with your loved ones. The food, farm to table - say no more! The nicest hotel staff, beautiful people who were truly genuinely helpful and caring. Some serious perks of staying at Habitas; the idyllic spa which gave the best massage I've ever received, free wellness workshops/activities that anyone can join, WhatsApp communication with front of house who arrange taxis for you at the drop of a hat, the list goes on. I can't believe the seamless operation that is run at Habitas SMA, that feels so non clinical and so full of love, respect to the grounds and nature, as well as local tradition. A magical experience who I've shouted to anyone who will listen. I cannot wait to return. Thank you Habitas :)
