Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SloveniaThe buildings need renovation, cleaning was not OK - the hall infront of our room was not cleaned once in a 9 days stay. The smell in the toilet was horrible, but there are doors, so managable. The toilet was leaking.
Food was great, location - by the beach, that was cleaned every day, staff was friendly and professional. Free parking for the car, good service.

GreeceA lot of things need to be taken care of by the management. Rooms and room buildings desperately need renovation. Some units close to ours were so old and poorly maintained that they are no longer habitable and available for rent. Our wooden room balcony felt unstable and unsafe. Sliding mosquito nets full of holes and not closing properly (luckily no mosquitos during our stay though). Bathroom had plumbing and drainage issues. Bathroom had also a glass wall that the screws holding it together seemed out of place and ready to fall apart. Towel collection point was too far away from the beach, a 2nd point by the beach would be optimal. Kids area needs expanding, feels rather miserable. Fast food area next to the kids zone needs some serious cleaning. Cocktails rather poorly executed and tasteless.
Serene and quiet ambience. Good sized rooms combined with some of the best sea views I've ever had staying in a hotel. Comfortable large beds. Wifi was good. Food was plenty, large selection and tasty (considering the price tag). Good selection of different venues and restaurants. Many pools to choose from. Well kept and clean gardens and beach. Beach is picture perfect (in front of the hotel and towards the South-Northern end is more rocky) . Sea offers some great snorkeling, lots of fish and stingrays (water shoes will come handy, lots of rocks and crushed coral on the sea bed). No big waves - reef engulfed beach. Value for money considering the prices in the area. Hotel offers parking spaces and is conveniently located close to Akumal Beach (6min drive) and Tulum (24min drive)- shuttle golf cart from the parking /entrance toward the hotel lobby. Hotel seems like is being renovated/expanding. Hotel staff doing the best they can, kind, friendly and eager to help (majority of the time).

United StatesThe front desk staff was horrible. We had to ask for things 5-6 times, and even then, we sometimes didn't get even the simplest of requests taken care of. For example, my wife had a little first aid need; she waited 15 minutes after being told they'd take care of it before she finally just blew it off. Also, we asked for room blankets about 6 times before it finally happened on the 3rd day. There were many aspects of the place falling apart. Doors slamming shut that a simple repair could have solved, sinks that were clogged, the room safe went bad a couple of times. We had ceiling leaks in our room that left pools of water on the floor, which were of course dangerous/slippery.
The food was very good. The beach location was great. The coffee shop was fantastic, and the woman working there was a jewel. The people working the restaurants were very nice. Bartenders did a good job. The karaoke lady/people were good. There was a good selection of alcohol drinks.

BrazilThe hotel does need some updates. There were noticeable stains in our bathroom—not dirt, but marks on the bathtub and toilet. Considering it’s a beach resort, it would benefit from having adequate hooks or racks for drying swimsuits. Additionally, there aren’t enough chairs on the beach. Guests would arrive as early as 7 a.m. to place towels and reserve spots but wouldn’t return until around noon. Unfortunately, the staff didn’t enforce any policies to address this issue.
The beach in front of the hotel is beautiful—you can snorkel and see various kinds of fish. They offer different activities every day, and you can borrow kayaks and stand-up paddleboards. The food was generally good. The fish tacos at the Miramar restaurant are AMAZING. We went two nights in a row, with the second visit solely to enjoy the tacos. However, the Italian restaurant was VERY disappointing. We waited almost an hour for our food, and when it finally arrived, it was bad. The staff is nice and friendly. The bedroom was spacious, and the bed was very comfortable.

CanadaService at the all inclusive could have been better. Fee for some of the restaurant was odd given there was not a lot of variety. The beach appears to have been washed away with the hurricanes so there was not a lot of beach and what little there was was crowded. There were not a lot of people but it was crowded.
snorkeling was good. getting in and out of the water was difficult due to coral on the beach.

CanadaOur bathroom flooded our room on the last day due to a faulty toilet tank…service from the front desk for this was extremely slow and difficult. We ended up showering in a flooded room after waiting almost 30 minutes for a staff member to take us to a dry room to shower. Water was limited to 6 bottles daily for 3 people sharing a room. We asked for the pop and beer to be removed from our room fridge and replaced with water however this did not happen.
The beach was gorgeous and fabulous for swimming. Nice peaceful spot to relax.

SwedenIn an all inclusive facility that staff put banknotes on the counter suggesting you give a tip. It’s disgusting and humiliating. We suggest the hotel suppresses that kind of behavior. Paying 350 dollars per night the hotel should be able to pay decent salaries to the staff.

It’s a big resort but old if compared with others in the area, nevertheless price is also quite bellow, so if you want to avoid expensive of the other resorts this may be a good option Beachfront location
