Everything was great, couldn't fault it at all!

We moved to El Callejon as our original hotel was not good. From the moment we arrived here we knew we had made a wonderful decision. This is a truly beautiful hotel set in a beautiful oasis of a garden and incredibly calm and relaxing as a result. The staff could not be more hospitable or helpful and I would recommend that anyone staying in Oaxaca stays here, it is a real gem. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making it such a great stay in Oaxaca

I did think the room was pricey, but I imagine that's based on demand; also we didn't need such a huge living room, but I believe that was all that was available for our dates

Beautiful and so thoughtfully designed within a historic building. Tranquil, garden spaces. Elegant wooden furniture and fittings throughout. Innovative design everywhere. Staff so very attentive, helpful and sincerely hospitable and friendly. Delicious breakfasts and relaxing bar in the evening. Location perfect.

The staff were fabulous, the room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was varied and tasty, and the location was perfect -- close to Centro, but far enough away to be tranquil. We would stay there again.

Wish the bar area was open later and had snacks to enjoy. The bar is in a garden which is very nice but not used much at night.

The staff was super helpful and easily available to answer questions via WhatsApp. They also helped set up a cooking class and provided car rental information to do a trip to Puerto Escondido. The hotel is charming and you are greeted with a mezcal icy. Also, each night there is a chocolate treat in your room. Great hotel with soft towels.

The staff was exceptional. From the ladies (and gentleman at night) at the front desk, to our server at breakfast, to the best bartender in the city, Jose, everyone was so kind and learned your name and made you feel right at home. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would come back and stay here WHEN I go back to Oaxaca.

The food was not so good when we had to stay at the hotel. It was quite boring. Dry not moist. Not much selection.

Wish there had been a mini-bar in our room and would have loved availability to outdoor space for relaxing in.

The breakfast was pretty good, not outstanding. The property was beautiful and the rooms were very comfortable.

The Nescafé coffee worked fine but we were limited to 2 free cups per day. They should provide a standard coffee pot.

We would prefer a better mattress. This one was wrapped in plastic (?) and made a noise when we moved. It was also very hard. We are early risers and would have appreciated a coffee station set up in the bar with hot coffee ( regular and decaf) so that we could access it in the morning ( rather than the” pods “ in the room.

The breakfast was delicious. The staff, especially the front desk, were extremely helpful. The grounds and room were beautiful. The linens were nice as were the bath products. Loved the nightly chocolate. We would definitely stay here again.

Facilities are limited ( no gym or pool ) and it is a bit of a walk to the centre. A brand new property but with no USB points and no adapters!
