Security chain was broken!

Restaurant and staff were great. Facilities were somewhat shabby. Bedding was not up to standard for a 4 Star hotel.

Breakfast, food wise was really good, however, the staff at the restaurant wasn't the best. I tried to order via phone and the staff was brushing me off, did not ask once about specifics to the order for example, if you want coffee or juice with their combos or green or red chilaquiles. (on their menu it gave multiple options) so in the end he'd just say.. yes yes and brought us up whatever he wanted. I called the front desk and they said they would help, but did nothing. so moments later the food was already at my door. In my family we never waste food so we were not going to reject it and had to eat what they sent. The food was not of bad quality, in the end it was good, but the communication/staff issue is what bothered me. Note: the room service is not room charged, you have to pay cash only, to the waiter that brings up the food. Also their safe in the room was blocked the whole time we were there, so we were unable to use it, I suggest one checks this always upon arrival.

The location is great, close to the center of the city, there is food nearby a church and easy to get uber or taxis there. The room was clean, and big, we also enjoyed the balcony very much. We did not use the pool , however did see it was used frequently. Hopefully next time we visit we can use their pool.

My little one was sad that the pool was too cold for swimming. That says a lot, because he's fine with cold water! While it's not too far from downtown as the crow flies, it's very hilly and not an area you'd want to walk with your family.

The oversized bath tub was a huge bonus that we didn't expect. Easy to find a taxi, and there's an OXXO and restaurants just around the corner.

All around for me it was a classic Mexican hotel

The breakfast is classic Mexican food. The pool is good ,The room is pretty good.

I paid for breakfast to be included in my initial selection, but when I finalized it and paid, it showed it was not included. I asked the reception desk, and they explained it wasn't included, so that was very upsetting because that was the whole point of picking this hotel.

What I like was the area was close to many places and was very clean.

- Wifi was bad - beds are hard and not confortable - walls are very thin, you can hear the staff prepare the breakfast and cleaning at 7am

The lack of customer service, requested towels and bottled water at the front desk, because the person in charge was no longer at the property, the were unable to fulfill my request at the time of arrival, and even when I requested the following morning, they failed to provide them in a timely manner.

Beds were too firm (but they manage to help), also The running machine could not work due to lack of safety attachment.

I had some issues with my first room (suite); but the staff managed to give me another room (without hydromassage bath), but with an extra top mattress to make the bed softer. Also due to the issues with my room, i got complimentary breakfast which was nice.

Took over one hour to fill the tub with hot water, and then at the end was very dirty. There were no plugs next to the bed, we had to use the one in the bathroom. Most of the staff were not especially friendly or helpful. Only one very flat pillow per person, we had to use the ones from the couch downstairs. When we asked about getting a couple more pillows we were told “no, we don’t have any.” The bed is also very firm, and there is no cable television. The wifi never worked.

The parking under the room was nice. There was a Jacuzzi in the room. The breakfast was pretty good and waiter in the morning was friendly.

The food, especially dinner ,was terrible quality and took forever to be served. On our last day the waiter was miserable and unfriendly. We were contacted 2 days after our stay to say that hotel staff had made a mistake with our bill and we owed them money which they then took off my card (they had my details for the initial deposit) without my permission. I do not recommend this hotel...staff are inept and service very poor.Its a shame because otherwise it was clean and comfortable.
