How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It’s a little noisy if ur a lite sleeper. The traffic on the Main Street. However this is not the hotel fault.

Verified reviewThe hotel was bigger than it seemed, the room was cozy. I liked the free breakfast that was included, it was delicious. The pool was nice because it was heated! Close walking distance to other businesses.
The pool water could've been cleaner, but we still got in :)

Verified reviewIt’s located right on the Main Street of Rosarito. It’s 5 minutes to the beach and shoppings for food, gas are pretty convenient.
Cleaning job is not too good, you need to ask for change of towels. There was out of water for three hours.

Sliding door lock was broken and our key to open our room wasn't working and you have to go down stairs again and you go back up to the room and still didn't work. back to the reception . But they don't have a phone in the room to call reception

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with my recent stay at Del Mar Hotel in Rosarito. When I arrived on Friday around 8 p.m. to check in, I was told my room was not ready due to a water heater issue and that my reservation had been canceled. I was never informed of this in advance. I was told that someone had called me, but I received no such call. In fact, I had been calling the hotel during the day to advise that I was running late. The staff said Booking.com was responsible for notifying me, but the result was the same — my family and I (including four children) were left at night without a place to stay. I was told it might take an hour to fix the problem, so I searched for another hotel name Hotel hacienda Corteza Most were fully booked. The only one I found had poor conditions — broken air conditioning, damaged curtains, and a broken window — so I left and returned to Del Mar Hotel. Thankfully, the water heater was fixed, and we were finally able to stay. However, there was no gesture of accommodation, discount, or apology for the significant stress and inconvenience caused. In addition, I had booked two rooms with two beds each for a total of 8 guests. The booking clearly stated that breakfast was included for everyone. However, at breakfast, I was given only 6 tickets and told that the other 2 guests (both children) were not included and I would need to pay for their meals. This is misleading, as the booking promised breakfast for all guests. This experience caused unnecessary stress, additional expenses, and disappointment. I request that you review my case and offer appropriate compensation for both the check-in incident and the breakfast charge. I am requesting a refund for my recent stay at Hotel Hacienda Condeza Rosarito due to unacceptable conditions and the hotel’s refusal to assist me. When I checked in, the rooms were in poor condition and there was no air conditioning.

Verified reviewI've stayed here before and I'd say they have the cleanest, most comfortable rooms and beds in all of rosarito, beds are better than home 😆 🤣, it's a few blocks away from the bars but if you don't mind walking a few minutes then definitely check this place out
Usually great place,,this time the water to the hotel was off from when I arrived Thursday night to late Friday night, couldn't shower, use the bathroom, nothing....finally got the water on and things worked as they should, i booked that room a month in advance they could've at least told me the water was off before I drove all the way from Los Angeles, I'd probably stay there again, but they could've handled that very differently

Verified reviewI liked the location and that it is walking distance from different places. I liked the breakfast. I enjoy my stay because it was simple.
I was charged 6 dllrs for a dirty towel!. They are suppossed to clean it. All I did was put it on the floor in the shower so I wouldn't slip. They told me they can't wash it off and after I explained, they said there was a different floor towel I was supposed to use. The stains were clearly dirty from the floor, no chemicals, makeup or anything. I ended up paying because I didn't want to make a big deal. They showed me the towel in the reception claiming "they tried to remove the stains". That part was honestly dissapointing.
