Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaGrace was so helpful in helping me get around and also waiting for me when my plane was late. It seems you can’t get a Uber from Mexico Airport so time was wasted and you pay a lot more with taxis. My main object in going to Mexico City was to visit the Frida Kahlo museum which I was lucky to do so as it was booked up 2 weeks ahead. 100% for Grace.

Great location in Coyoacán (colonia del Carmen) on a quiet side street far enough from the touristy area, but close enough to walk there. Lots of great food around. We stayed for two weeks and were extremely comfortable the whole time (it felt like home). The bed was comfortable and the staff were lovely, regularly asking if we needed anything anytime we saw each other on our way out or on the way in. The kitchen came in handy. Would stay there again!

Close location to everything you’d want to see in Coyoacan but a few blocks away from the hussle and bustle so in a quiet street. Appreciated that owners allowed me to stay in my room until I had to leave for the airport at night

New ZealandThere wasn't anything I didn't like - although there are a lot of stairs people should be aware of, the staff helped me with my heavy bag.
My room was very comfortable and homely. It was a bit cool when I stayed and the heater worked very well. The shower was excellent and the bed very comfortable. The do-it-yourself breakfast of coffee, toast and fruit was a nice bonus and the staff are lovely. It was also a great location - 10-15 minutes from pretty much everything in Coyocan, which is a beautiful neighbourhood with excellent restaurants and markets. I will definitely return if I can.

United StatesWe were confused about the shower wand operation. We also did not know to get a key to our dresser. We stored our items on top of the dresser. When staff entered for other reasons, they saw and gave us the keys.
Beautiful building with welcoming courtyard, water available at all levels, and breakfast provided. The breakfast included hot coffee, tea bags, cookies, fresh fruit, and selection of bread, butter and sweet spreads: honey or jam. At the self-service breakfast location, there was an microwave, coffee cups, utensils and a sink. We could eat in the front courtyard, central courtyard or in our room. The rooms were welcoming and had glass bricks letting in more light. The beds were very comfortable and the temperature was adjustable with built-in heaters. Both rooms had water pitchers and cups and microwaves present. Additionally, the larger-room had a kitchen with appliances, pots and pans, utensils, and even cooking and some seasonings. Margarita accommodated our 4 AM arrival and a last minute extra night booking for that early arrival. She also booked us a driver for Teotihuacan that first day of arrival. She also notified us of the need to book Frida Kahlo museum tickets ASAP. We did not listen {:-/ Staff was pleasant and kept the place clean. One person helped us figure out the operation of the TV and heater and had them ready when we returned from our outings.

United StatesI was only there for one night and had an 8:30 a.m. morning flight out of MEX so unfortunately I had to leave before breakfast (available at 7 a.m.) so I didn't get to try it. Next time! :)
The hosts/staff was super friendly. Everything was clean, functional, and comfortable. The area was safe to walk around at night as solo female traveller. I didn't realize that there is someone literally waiting for your arrival since it's a B&B so please don't be an idiot like me and show up a few hours later than you said you would.

United StatesI really liked the location of the hotel. Coyacan is a wonderful and charming neighborhood. I felt like everything in Mexico City was far away from everything so to me staying in pleasant Coyacan only made sense. The hotel itself seemed really safe to me, everything was locked at all times, and there were security cameras. It also amazed me how quiet it was. Even though the street was already not busy, the location of my room was almost completely quiet. But I could still hear the birds chirping. Very relaxing. Staff was friendly but I also didn't have a lot of interactions. Everything was very clean. Stay here if you need a quiet retreat in Mexico City. Don't stay here is you need luxury or more than a basic breakfast (I really liked the bread that was provided for breakfast).

CanadaThe bed was a bit too firm for me but you get used to it. There was some bit of machinery outside our room that made a repetitive sound at night but not for that long.
It is in a nice quiet area but not too far from restaurants and the mercado. It is very safe and secure with two locked entrances. The grounds are lovely with lots of flowers and a cool Courtyard to have your coffee. The staff were very kind and helpful.

United StatesThe property is old but charming. The wall sockets are very old (I’d never seen this type before), some worked others not. The bathroom is very tight, the waterfall shower sprays everywhere including the ceiling, but it had warm water and everything one needs. The hairdryer worked intermittently. The window was openable, but the casing is not securely attached and moved within the frame during opening and closing. From the lobby to my room (with the shared patio) you climbed up one floor and down another which was part of the charm.
The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The linens were of good quality - in my experience lesser expensive properties have marginal linens, the bedding and towels were a nice surprise and elevated my comfort level. The shared patio and kitchen were delightful to take advantage of. The surrounding neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Restaurants can be found within about a 5 minute walk and the Coyoacán plaza, artesian market and, a plethora of other restaurants to choose from are about a 15 minute walk. As a solo female traveler I felt very comfortable at the property and in the Colonia of Coyoacán.

MexicoThe location is fantastic. It is like having a home in Coyoacan! It is very easy to walk around and go for a coffee, a drink or a restaurant. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. They are willing to do as much as it takes to help you enjoy the stay (in my case, they waited for me until 4am in the morning and let me do the check in then so that I did not have to wait until the regular 3pm to rest after a long flight). So much appreciated!

United StatesThe room was clean and the architecture of the building was very interesting, especially coming from an area in the US without many older buildings. We loved the courtyard in the middle of the building! I am glad we chose this location of the city as there was plenty to do in the area but it wasn't overwhelming with tons of people. The streets in the area were obviously well kept and it was amazing seeing the bright colors of the buildings and many plants.
