There is really nothing not to like about the property. There are some fixtures that could use an update (e.g., grab bar in bathroom came away from the shower wall)but overall it is a wonderful place.

The house is truly wonderful and provided exactly what we hoped it would - plenty of space for six of us to be together but also have room to be apart. The highlight is the pool which we spent lots of time in! Jesus the house manager was terrific and helpful.

The property is about 7 km from Playa Norte and although there are beaches nearby they either aren’t public ones or aren’t really great for swimming or hanging out on. Golf cart rental is very expensive. Cabs are reasonable and easy to get but not convenient if you need to go back and forth as we did since we had a young child that needed to nap. The distance would t stop me from renting this property again but is something to be prepared for.

This property is beautiful! Exceptionally clean and comfortable. The pool is perfect for swimming and for kids. There are great spaces indoors and out for hanging out. And Jesus, the housekeeper was fantastic and went out of his way to meet our every need.

The keys were not hard to find however it wasn’t until I actually looked inside the patio of the front porch did I find the box. So maybe letting people know the first set of box’s they will see in the driveway are not the ones they should open??

Jesús the house manager! He made the stay! He was so incredibly nice and just really tried so hard to make us all feel comfortable. Jesus is an incredible cook and it’s so worth it to have him provide this for you if you are able to do it! I also want to give a shout out to Leandro at Chimbo’s Beach restaurant and bar. We went back twice just to see him!

The pillows were a little soft for my liking but that is being ridiculous picky as everything was so great and both the hosts and Jesus were always available to assist with any requests.

The location was perfect! Because it was on the south side of the island we were able to relax at the casa away from the business of downtown while still having everything on the island just a golf cart ride away! The hosts were so friendly, communicative and helpful with great suggestions! The caretaker, Jesus, is the man!! He cleaned, laundered, checked on us and even cooked an incredible meal for us one night! He is an amazing chef! We brought our two adult girls with us and they loved staying in the bungalow beside the pool. It gave them a “mini” vacay of their own. The pool is clean, warm and has shaded areas. The house is clean, air conditioned and the hosts leave a welcome gift of cold beverages and coffees! They have a key safe set up so that you leave the keys locked up every time you leave the house — which is perfect when you are with a group of adults coming and going at different times and also keeps the keys from being lost while out and about. The hosts sent a taxi driver to pick us up at the ferry as well as return us to it! The views from the rooftop are stunning and a great place to enjoy dinner or snacks! We had a fantastic week at Casa Santosha!!

There is a small casita with a king bed and adjoining bathroom next to the pool, which we had not known was detached from the house. In the photos, it seemed as though the main house had 3 bedrooms. The house had exactly 6 bathroom towels and 6 pool towels. There were not extra blankets/bedding or pillows for the sofa bed. We made do, but it would be nice to have more linens and towels for the house. The house is close to The Joint, a reggae bar that plays music until later in the evenings- we kept the pool waterfall on to drown out the noise and it helped. At few times, there was a strong sewage smell while sitting in the backyard. We were not sure where it was coming from~ but it didn’t seem to be coming from the house. We really enjoyed Jesus the caretaker! But in booking a private house, we were not thinking of an outside person coming to the house every morning at 9:30. Most days we still had people asleep. Again, we really liked Jesus, our preference would have been to known about the daily visit and potentially to set the arrival time/ cleaning schedules with owners ahead of our visit.

The house is in a beautiful pocket of newer homes in the south of the island! We felt safe and comfortable. The grounds, garden, and pool area are clean and perfect for relaxing. The kitchen, dining room, half bathroom, and living room make up the first floor. There are two bedrooms upstairs each with a bathroom and a hallway desk on the second floor~ and a roof top deck that overlooks both sides of the island on the third floor. The beds are comfortable. All the bathrooms had soap and shampoo/conditioner. The decor of the house is charming, and the furniture in good shape. The air conditioning was so nice after a hot day. We had plenty of water for showers even though there were parts of the island that were having trouble with water scarcity. The owners were helpful in setting up transportation to the island and also to the house. We were also able to pre-order some groceries, which was helpful! The property manager, Jesus, was kind, helpful and hard~working. He was quick to answer questions and made sure our stay was going well.
