The entire hotel/house is beautiful, colorful, and inviting. It is very close to El Jardin (main square); about 2.5 blocks away. The hotel's street is quiet and away from the tourist bustle. My room was que linda! It was pretty, clean, and had everything you need. Amazingly, when you shut the windows, it would block the noise from the neighboring street. The breakfast was quite good and the folks working there were terribly sweet. Oh, and don't forget the rooftop terrace - I'd sit there every afternoon to read a book and take in the view. If I came back to SMA, I will definitely stay here again.

Everything was great!

Cozy room in a great location with access to a rooftop with stunning 360 views of San Miguel. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing, with fruit, yogurt, pastries, and made to order eggs with bean. As a solo traveler it was great to meet people at the family style dining table. Super value. Highly recommend.

There was some construction going on nearby.

Great location, easy walk to plaza. Lots of restaurants nearby. The rooftop terrace was a beautiful place to sit and admire the view. Very comfortable beds, slept very well. Staff was nice and always helpful. Everything was very clean. Great water pressure in showers, but sometimes the hot water ran out. Initially, we parked in a lot at the end of the street for 500 pesos per day, but were able to find street parking later.

My sweet small bedroom, which met my needs did not have the shower stall surrounded by a small barrier on the floor, separating the shower from the toilet floor. Longer shower curtain touching floor more helpful. Floor mat & extra towel used to soak up the water.

Beautiful artistic Dining room with light and plants. Individual placement with condiments on the table ( yogurt, granola, jams,etc) Each guest provided with a personally prepared delicious breakfast served by Rosa and her staff-ie (eggs-many choices, pancakes, oatmeal-we asked for it GF) individual plate of freshly cut fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, basket of pastries, unlimited good coffee/tea/filtered water. Lovely relaxing way to start a busy day. The highlight of Casa Maricela was the 4th floor wide open terrace surrounded by plants, comfortable furniture and the gorgeous vista of the city from above ,especially the church steeples and ringing bells early mornings with a cup of delicious coffee. Meditative! At night the lights were glorious and peaceful. Amazing supportive, kind & sensitive staff-Mauricio greeted us & carried our luggage to second floor (no elevators, 3 floors) & gave us a tour of our rooms & the Casa especially Kitchen which we could use to make coffee(instant) tea. Rosa seemed to be the main organizer of the house assisted by 2 staff with breakfast and keeping the Casa, our rooms and the terrace very clean. Fridge on each floor. Filtered water tank on each floor. Bottled water available. Had a minor medical issue with my ear, Rosa’s help was most appreciated providing us with the name of the hospital. Positive outcome.

I love fluffy and soft bath towels. These were very absorbent, but not particularly soft or fluffy. It is a minor point, and did not change my opinion of the BnB.

Great breakfast and the location was ideal for getting around. The bed was very comfy and the room was spacious. The room and the house were beautifully decorated and very cute.

The facility is clean and very nicely appointed including a roomy dining room, sitting room and rooftop terrace with 360 deg view of San Miguel de Allende. Staff are exceptionally friendly and make a fabulous breakfast.
