The shower drain was clogged when we arrived. However, the owner was very responsive to the issue. We alerted him to the issue later in the evening and he responded. This issue was fixed the very next morning when we were away. Thank you!

Good stay for the price in walking distance to everything in Centro. The place was clean and quiet. The owner was responsive to our needs, and there is a laundry facility at the front of the location which made it very easy for us to have our clothes laundered.

I would have liked a bunch of hangers for my clothes, shelves or counter space in the bathroom, bottled water, a king-sized bed, and a bright light. I can't see well in dim light.. I wasn't able to open the shutter in the little window to let more light in. One of our rooms was small for 2 people. I know that metal doors are common in Mexican homes, but the latches were confusing to me.

We liked the attractive furniture, bathroom, plants, design, and decorative touches. Great water pressure and hot water. The location is perfect in downtown Oaxaca. It's a short walk to many great restaurants and the Zócalo. You don't need a car. It's a fun place to just walk around. The air conditioning is nice on a hot afternoon. The host was responsive. He let us drop off luggage hours before check-in. Even though the padlocked door seemed weird at first, it's nice for 2 people to be able to get in and out without a key. One of our rooms was very spacious. Even though the Guelaguetza festival was going on, the noise from the street was muffled and didn't bother us. There is a laundry business near the entrance where you can leave your laundry for them to wash for you.

The older structure of the building looks really nice, but gets noisy and bright. Make sure to bring earplugs and an eye mask if you’re a light sleeper

We stayed twice at this place. Dave is an excellent host. The accommodation is charming, nicely located, close to many cafés, bars, the city centre, yet quiet and privat. A real + is the lavanderia at the entrance - will come back any time without a doubt

We had a wonderful experience staying here. The location was perfect—close to everything we needed, yet peaceful and relaxing. The space was spotless, comfortable, and clearly well cared for. What really made the stay stand out was Dave. He was incredibly attentive, kind, and always available whenever we had a question or needed anything. His support made us feel truly welcomed and looked after. Overall, it was a clean, convenient, and thoughtfully managed place. We’d gladly return and highly recommend it to others.

Due to shortages in the area we had no water one morning, but that’s not much to do with the property. Host helped as much as he could to get everything up and running again.

Beautiful room in the heart of amazing Oaxaca. Very unique decor, lots of things look handmade with attention to detail. Room had everything we needed for our short stay. Host was very helpful and responsive and allowed us for a very late check in.

Large rambling property shared with a laundromat. The rooms are large and interesting. Everything worked and it treads a fine line between “designer” and “rundown”. Mostly the former. Don’t ask the owner to book a taxi to the airport though- he will take a cut. Just ask on the street. March 2025 about 250peaoes.

When traveling your main focus is safety and location. Here at 509 Accommodation you don’t have to worry about either. Excellently located in city centro, you are in walking distance to amazing restaurants, cafes, historical sites, entertainment, and shops. The neighborhood is vibrant and is surrounded by beautiful art galleries. You can rest assure your nights will include peaceful sleep. The beautiful community-like setup of 509 Accomodations is a perfect representation of Oaxacan culture. The accomodation has 5-6 rooms giving an intimate experience. The room was extremely clean, comfortable, and had both hot and cold water all the time. The bed was comfortable and the room beautifully designed and had air condition. I stayed for about a week and needed for nothing. Dave and his team are kind and have excellent communication skills. I truly recommend this stay.

I arrive early to the Oaxaca ! It was raining, and the host let me enter the room earlier. I’m very appreciate! The room is clean, tidy and comfortable. The hot water is super hot! They also have coffee, water and ‘Mezcal’ in the room. The location is near centro. Highly recommended!

The lack of natural light in the main room, cold shower

David is a super gracious host. Our studio was well-equipped, recently updated and quite while being just minutes from the historic center.

Although there was an ac in the living room, the bedroom was warm. The floor fan helped. We could not get warm water in the mornings, we seemed to only get warm water in the evenings. There were a lot of mosquitos as well since the doors didn't seal the rooms. We weren't expecting that.

The location was great. The host was always available to answer questions, help out. The bed was comfortable. We liked having our own shower and bathroom.
