Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MaldivesThat I didn't stay longer!
Breathtaking resort with well kept rooms and a natural atmosphere that feels both luxurious and welcoming. The dining options are excellent, with delicious food and great service, and the resort offers plenty of opportunities to explore and enjoy the surroundings. A special mention goes to my butler, Nizam, who was exceptional in the short time I was there. He was always available to answer my questions, quick to respond to any requests, and personally helped arrange excursions that made my stay even more memorable. The entire team at Dusit Thani was warm, attentive, and professional, nothing ever felt like too much trouble. This level of service and hospitality truly made my visit unforgettable. And of course, let's not forget their beautiful house reef which is a huge plus point for an ocean lover such as myself.

United KingdomPrice: We weren’t all inclusive and so had to pay for all food as we were there, we found it very expensive compared to other islands, for example a soft drink was $6, dessert at the a la carts restaurants were about $24 each, and they were tiny. Obviously the Maldives is luxury and people can generally afford to pay but I found it excessive. Staff: staff were lovely as always in the Maldives. I found it a bit too much sometimes though, we had an allocated waiter in the restaurant but we were served by about 4 different people and also approached a lot by other staff members asking how we were, wether we needed anything etc. of course it was attentive but it was a bit much everyday. For example There was one man that said to us every night if there’s anything we don’t like or want something spicy or less spicy to ask and they can provide anything we want. There was no need for this message every night, just telling us once would have been enough. Maybe it was because it was off season and they were quiet, we just got more attention than usual! Another con is that I lost a pair of pyjamas while here, they must’ve got picked up with the bedding one night because when we got home from dinner they weren’t on the bed or anywhere to be seen. Obviously not the end of the world, however it was annoying and not what you expect somewhere like this. I told our butler straight away that night, he said he would look into it. I had to contact his again the following afternoon as I hadn’t heard anything. All he said was they couldn’t find them. I felt like they didn’t really try which was annoying as I expect the staff to go above and beyond for everything.
We spent a week here post Sri Lanka. On arrival, the sea plane was too full and one of our bags had to stay behind and arrive later. Not the islands fault obviously but it was annoying! The island is beautiful, the food was great, the room was absolutely huge and the decking and pool were also big. Fantastic house reef and sea life! Room: we stayed in an overwater pool villa (214) I’ve stayed on a few islands and this one was the biggest villa I’ve been in. The water was choppy, but that’s just the time of year, the other side of the island was calmer waters (by the dive centre). The island: the island was pretty big as Maldives islands go, most people use bikes to get around it but we don’t cycle so spent a lot of time walking! The paths through the island are nice and sheltered. Food: we ate at the buffet restaurant most days, there was good choice but I wouldn’t say it’s the best I’ve visited. There’s other restaurants, we tried both the Thai restaurant and the seafood restaurant and both were really great. Excursions: we used the dive centre a few times, for guided snorkels on the house reef, which were great, we say eagle rays, turtles, baby sharks, octopus and loads and loads of fish. We also had booked the turtle safari but at the time of leaving there was a manta call so did that instead, we saw 4 mantas! Which was amazing as it was our first time seeing them, it was a great trip and only 5 of us on the boat. Worth the cost for the experience! Definitely recommend you sign up to get the call!

Secluded area with high quality facilities. 3 restaurants ( Thai, plant based and grill) plus market place for buffet breakfast, food was sensational. We stayed at the waterfront villa with the pool. Had a great time snorkeling , just a step away from our deck. We saw lots of fish , couple of reef sharks and turtles. Super amazing experience. Lovely friendly staff and the whole experience was fantastic.

We spent an unforgettable 10 days at Dusit Thani Maldives, and every moment on the island was a blend of natural beauty, thoughtful luxury, and heartfelt hospitality. We had the chance to stay in three types of villas—Beach Villa, Overwater Villa, and Ocean Villa—and each offered a different but equally wonderful experience. The Beach Villa gave us direct access to the soft sand and calm lagoon, surrounded by lush vegetation. The Overwater Villa was serene and luxurious, perched above the turquoise waters with steps leading into the sea. One detail that stood out was the Diptyque amenities in the bathroom—beautifully scented and of exceptional quality. The Ocean Villa, with its sweeping views and total privacy, was the perfect way to end our stay. The island itself feels like a true paradise—natural, peaceful, and full of trees that offer welcome shade throughout the day. It’s a quiet, low-key environment, perfect for relaxing, and the resort-provided bicycles make exploring effortless and enjoyable. The house reef just off the beach is full of life and ideal for daily snorkeling. A true highlight of our trip was the excursion to Hanifaru Bay, where we were lucky enough to swim with dozens of manta rays in their natural habitat. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience—graceful, awe-inspiring, and deeply moving. We’re so happy we had the opportunity to witness it. Another highlight was the time we spent at the Devarana Spa. The yoga classes—especially hot yoga followed by a cold plunge bath—were extraordinary. We also thoroughly enjoyed the sound bowl meditation, which brought a deep sense of calm. The spa is truly a sanctuary and an experience not to be missed. The food at Dusit Thani was consistently excellent across all restaurants. Whether enjoying a beachfront lunch or a more formal dinner, the quality, freshness, and variety of dishes stood out.

AustraliaDusit Thani was a real treat, and was the perfect tonic after an intense 12 months of work. Snorkelling at the UNESCO biosphere reserve was a true highlight. Shout out to the staff who were all wonderful, especially the footballers at the market. Great to see the organised soccer matches for staff at nightfall - makes you think that staff are well looked after which contributes positively to the overall experience. It was also nice to see John the General Manager getting around the tables at dinner time to speak to the residents - it was a nice personal touch. Accommodation, food, the amenities - all amazing, and cycling around the island turned out to be a whole lot of fun. We will return!

NetherlandsIt is not cheap. But what one gets for one's money is definitely worth it.
The island is small but has everything needed for a perfect holiday. There are beach front villas and over-the-water villas, each with direct access to the sea, offering snorkelling possibility direct from your terrace. Also villas with access to the beach as well as villas with their own little garden yard. The villas are in beautiful Thai design with high wooden ceilings and completely furnished with all modern amenities. It's sparkling clean and everything looks newly-built. A butler takes care of all your needs - booking restaurant or activity, answering any questions, you name it. 4 restaurants cater for all tastes - European, Asian, vegetarian and local cuisines. A beach bar with an infinity pool overlooking the sea. A diving centre offers a great variety of over- and under water activities. 24/7 sports centre. Creche. A picturesque path amid the vegetation and the palm trees connects all facilities. The island is surrounded by a very shallow water ring, rich of reef life - corals, fish of all kinds, small sharks, sea stars, octopuses, sting rays and many more. A snorkelling paradise. The sea was calm as a lake, with pleasantly warm water. The air temperature is constant during day and night, no typical continental min/max daily temperatures. The most impressive feature is the staff. Always smiling and happy to maintain a personal contact with the tourists, ready to go out of their way to accommodate your comfort, even without being asked for it. We felt we they made sure we didn't have the slightest discomfort at any time. Our butler would come every evening to see us in person and make sure we have had a great day. We went to several organised trips and saw from very close range mantas, sharks, sea turtles, dolphins, sting rays. The resort is suitable for all kinds of tourists - romantic couples, Instagram vloggers, families with children, companies of friends, seniors, etc.

IndiaIt was very far from Male and we had to take a sea plane ride back and forth for which we were not advised the cost in advance. We ended up paying USD 550 per person extra for this commute totalling USD 1100 which was a surprise. Booking.com also did not specify this additional cost upfront.
Quiet and clean island with lot of green area and picturesque sites. Good courteous staff. Lots of activities to undertake.
