We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

HungarySpacious and comfortable apartment. It can be easily found and close to the le Morne. The view from the window is beautiful to a hill. The kitchen is equiped. The hosts are very kind, we even got some local dinner prepared by them. :) Very recommended!

I liked the Cleanliness and the good organisation of the property. I liked the fact that the property was not on the main Road so there were less traffic noise caused by bus ect. Safe place with the very kind tenants living on the ground floor. Electric fence around the garden. Everything was well explained about the overall good running of the property. Good Restaurants and shopping centre in the area.

United KingdomOne thing we think is important to note is that we stayed during the summer months and the apartment itself isn’t fully set up for this. There was only ceiling fans and no air conditioning, and the fans did not provide much airflow but only made the space hotter, to the extent that it was much hotter at night inside than out (ie 30 degrees outside but 35+ inside). Opening the windows didn’t help, even with the risk of mosquitoes (which there were many, and made it even more difficult to sleep.) Finally, we struggled with the water temperature in the apartment – it was either extremely hot or very cold, and it was impossible to find a comfortable middle ground, but a cold shower in hot weather is not necessarily a bad thing. While the location and hospitality were fantastic, addressing the heat, mosquito nets on the windows, and water temperature issues would make the stay much more comfortable for future guests.
During our stay the location of the apartment is absolutely beautiful – we loved how close it was to the beaches and enjoyed the serene mountain walks in the surrounding area. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home from the start.

United KingdomWe did not stay at the property because it had no wi-fi, no a/c, no tv and was very humid. We returned the keys without staying and asked for a refund which our host refused. She sent me abusive messages and threatened to report me to the immigration authorities. She and her husband spoke no English. An unbelievably horrible experience and Booking.Com havs offered me compensation as an apology.
