Everything about our honeymoon at Canonnier Beachcomber was simply amazing—from the breathtaking views and lush gardens to the delicious food and relaxing spa. The rooms were spotless and beautifully designed, and the beach was just steps away. But what truly made the experience exceptional was the hotel staff. Every single person we encountered was incredibly helpful, warm, and genuinely friendly. Their kindness and attention to detail made us feel so welcome and cared for. We left with wonderful memories and can’t wait to return!

The rooms were a little dated, the bathroom had some mold.

We loved the surroundings, the whole resort was beautiful. The views right from the room were magnificent, the whole place had an amazing vibe. Also, the dinner experience at Navigator was amazing, and all the restaurants had delicious food.

I liked the the welcome the minute we stepped into the hotel staff made us feel at home.Staff at the front desk were amazing. The staff at the buffet restaurant was exceptionally. The entertainment every evening was amazing. Well done to all the staff that work in this hotel.

Due to the location things like getting cash was a bit hard and the resort has cazy ”resort prices” for things like laundry and taxis.

Good food, nice facilities and lots to do in terms of activities on the resort grounds. Extra plus for having a doctor on call which we ended up needing.

Everything was perfect, noting to point out! The only thing that we can say is related with the beach itself from the hotel, as the sand has is not as white as we were expecting and for the most sensitive ones you must bring your water shoes! But it not a big deal as all the beach area that surrounds the hotel is quiet and beautiful as it is! Walking distance there is also Mont Choisy beach which is an amazing bay!!

All the staff at the hotel from all the different outlets is very friendly and attentive, special mention to several waiters, hostess and restaurant manager as well as the kitchen chef from Frangipanier. We travelled with our baby girl and they always provide food alternatives accordingly to her preference! All the hotel facilities are very well kept and well maintained, nothing to point out! The room is spacious and very well cleaned, special thanks to the amazing Manav who was responsible for our room, he was always quite attentive, friendly and meticulous with the room cleaning! We also appreciate the little touch of offering a “Dodo” to our baby giving her the feeling of home! In general the Hotel is perfect either for families and or couples! A plus are all the included activities at the Nautical Club, if coming with all inclusive, specially the glass botoom boat!

There weren't enough facilities for the number of guests, for example we had to wait 3 days to get a booking on the boat to go snorkeling.

This hotel exceeded all our expectations and truly felt like a slice of paradise. It’s set in a stunning location where every evening treats you to breathtaking sunsets—an unforgettable experience. There are three restaurants to choose from for dinner, including two outstanding à la carte spots serving delicious, beautifully presented dishes. The grounds are lush and full of greenery, which not only adds to the tropical charm but also provides a lovely, natural shade from the heat—such a thoughtful touch that makes relaxing outdoors even more enjoyable. The staff are incredibly attentive and make sure every guest feels truly looked after. Everything is kept spotless. Despite the number of families with children, the atmosphere remains calm and peaceful. There are several beach zones, so everyone can find their own perfect spot to unwind. Another big plus is the Boathouse, which is included in the stay—it offers kayaks and other water sports gear for free. So much fun and such great value! This hotel genuinely deserves a full 5 stars. We’d love to come back one day!

The hotel provides a great variety of water sports and other leisure activities, it has several beautiful beaches and incredible sunsets. The food at the buffet is very very delicious - a great variety of fish, pizza, pasta, all kind of meat, the desserts were top! Same applies for the a la carte restaurants. Every night there is either a live band or other show program. The fasciitis at the rooms might be a bit improved but overall the hotel is very clean, with beautiful ocean view. The only disadvantage is that it is a bit far from the main attractions on the island (about an hour by car). Mind that the two a la carte restaurants are very busy and if you wish to take dinner at them you should make a reservation on your arrival.

The buffet restaurant felt a bit too crowded for our taste, and it would be great to see more options for guests who don’t eat fish. For the dance floor we would have preferred a bit more structure, as children were often running around while others were trying to dance.

The facilities are very well maintained. Plenty of activities are available. Quality of food is outstanding.the bread is delicious. Great location. What I disliked is the quality of the underwater life in the area and , while many staff members were smiling and willing to make your stay very pleasant, others were very distant and cold. It is a kids-friendly hotel so if you are looking for a calm place , you may not find here what you are looking for. Overall We would chose the same place again in the Grand Baie area

The staff didn’t know the details of their own offers. The breakfasts were restricted in choice and nothing special, in particular there were no smoked fish or desserts. The water is included only at breakfast. 1L of water costs 3€, including the ones in your fridge. It was possible to mark some mold in the shower. No toothbrushes and no bathrobes in the rooms (had to request). The lift is only till the 2nd floor (from 3). The nearest beach is nice and sandy but it doesn’t suit for swimming- almost everywhere it’s stony with a lot of shells - unpleasant to move. The nearest Moint Choisy part of the beach actually belongs to ClubMed, to the public beach you ought to go around 1,5km from the hotel…

The bed was great. A small balcony was nice. The dinner was the tastiest among the full board meals. Some free water entertainments are on site but need to order in advance. A tower as a historical site on the territory.

Would be good to get comfy cushions on the sun loungers but that’s the only small recommendation for improvements

Beautiful resort, carefully designed and wonderful landscaping. Staff, food, rooms were all excellent. Good facilities on site and lots to keep you entertained. You can walk down to the public beach along the shore line and it’s an easy 10 min taxi into Grand Baie for tours or looking around.

No service on the beach is a pain as one always has to waddle off to the bar but maybe a good thing to prevent over indulgence. Ice seemed to be a problem as we waited a long time for it every order.

Ideal location on the north west a stone throw away from the vibe Gran Bay. However no need to go anywhere as the hotel provides great entertainment every night. The beaches are small but extremely well placed to allow even a full guest complement enough privacy. But the best thing is the food at the buffet....absolutely top class every evening with a different but exciting theme attached. Rooms are very good with aircon going night and day to make this a haven of escape from the sniffling February heat. All in all...well done Cannonier.

Quite a lot of children in the swimming pool, so not the best place to relax, but the rest of the resort is great to relax.

Great location, it was windy most of the week, but the resort layout is great, always have a wind still beach area to relax.
