wifi was poor. It is on the main road which was very noisy during the first week of the year. The locals were driving with extremely loud music even at 2 am. And every evening and night there were fireworks (less and less every night)

Great host! Very helpful with almost everything we needed help this gentleman was always ready to help. He even drove us to the south cheaper than a taxi because taxis were quite expensive at that time. The apartment is very close to a nice beach (not pointe aux piments) which is suitable for kids because the water there is shalow and calm. Pointe aux piments public beach is a 10 min. walk (or less).

The room was in a 2nd floor so we have to climb the stairs with our big luggage. The apartment was lacking some essentials like soap and towels, we have to wait until someone who was not on the premises cameras with the items.

a perfect location at a 1-2min walking distance from the beach and a small shop, and ~5min driving distance from bigger beaches and a supermarket, sea view from the balcony, own parking place, a very accommodating host (we had to reschedule arrival time twice and he made it possible)

It's clean in general - only a little suggestion to the owner is to paint the ceiling in the bathroom. Also to wash the bathroom carpet more often and the forgery in the kitchen.

The apartment was bigger than I expected it to be. So, you have much space, an AC...a balcony... To get to the beach you simply need to cross the street and go 40 seconds and you can go into the water. The water is good for kids to swim but also simply to relax. Le Gourmet bar is alright to eat very nearby. Quick and easy communication with the owner via WhatsApp. I would definitely return if I'd come back to Mauritius and need to be in that region. There are busses stopping nearby - but anywhere in Mauritius it's much faster if you have a car.

Thank you Akshaye. I saw 1 review for Dodo on Booking.com and it was rated a 9 Superb, this is the reason we booked this Apartment. Great stay to get showered and lay your head. We had a kitchen, shower, comfy double bed, Air con, balcony everything you need. Max Store, next door for your needs. Not many restaurants here so good for only few days stay. Close to beach but not good for snorkelling. Balaclava is the best, short bus ride. Hope this helps 😊

Very close to the beach, incredible sunset view at the beach with just 1 min walking. The price is very affordable, being a villa very close to the beach. Had a really peaceful time watching the the stars in the balcony

Broken non-closing window in the bathroom, broken non-flushing toilet, sheets with stains, towels with stains, bad WiFi, dirty utensils, dirty kitchen appliances, used and dirty cleaning materials in the kitchen sink, non-working stove and hood, leftover soap from previous guests, leaking ceiling, old and discoloured aircon, old and dated appearance. Underaged kids do the online communication via the app with the customers, the young son (under 10) even took the keys when I checked out, not even the owner himself or another adult.

Location: close to the beach, shop next door, few nice restaurants at walking distance
