Location near restaurants and bus stop on a nice bay. Good beds and pillows. Good shower. Nice pool area.

The rooms would need a good renovation and the hotel is a but out of Saint Paul bay do it makes the distance longer when you want to go to Valetta for example. The dimness would need also to be changed and not to be so packed

Overall good accomodation staff helpful as we had a very tiny room with the button of the air con located high on the wall so not convenient at all and they found us a larger one with a normal way to handle the air conditioning. A bit old but clean , simple breakfast

- music at the restaurant for breakfast was repetitive , played on loop one and the same verse - food was scarce but we were not left hungry - they rented the "pool" to an outside party giving the hotels customers a feeling of not being a paid client and priority, childrens noise, sunbeds occupied - small kitchenette in the room was ok but lacked plates and basic cutlery - ants in the room (albeit only in one particular spot) - thin walls so you could hear all your neighbours and their commotion

Outside pool was lovely (when it was not occupied by "an outside party" who booked the place. ) Bus stop very close, nice restaurants close by, nice view from the room. Shower was spacious, a/c was working. Good wifi. It is not a bad place to stay as long as you keep your expectations low and just go with the flow. Would recommend.

Wasn't a lot in surrounding area, very few restaurants/bars. Main St Paul's bay was a bus ride away.

Good size room, nice pool, friendly staff. Dinner at hotel was good.

the fridge in room 309 needs throwing away immediately, its rusted and in very poor condition, the kitchenette is old and tied and again needs refurb, the bedroom headboard need changing due to the outer surface peeling off... in this room we had a buzzing sound almost all night ( not the a.c as that was turned off to check ) the sun beds around the pool are old and very weathered and changing these would really add to the nice atmosphere already there, leaving the hotel to the pool you go past the rubbish collection point, this really needs to be covered and locked as in the heat it smells and is not a nice sight to walk past,

we stayed for 1 night and were pleasantly surprised, reception on arrival was 5 star treatment and very friendly, the room was large with small kitchen are and balcony,...a/c was good and cooled the room perfectly,,,,,,across the road was the pool and this was clean and refreshing under the sun, i would stay here again however points i didn't like listed would help

Pool area needs alot of cleaning. The deckchairs really dirty and also the floors. The pool needs tiles cleaning. AC is rooms is not good, in summer days it needs to be higher.

All the staff were very helpful and polite. Breakfast was very good, pool bar food too.

The room was unwelcoming and dark.noisy Ac . If you're room overlooked the pool area music was on 12/13 hours a day,which meant you really needed your balcony door closed.

Communal areas are clean and tidy. Very good breakfast selection regularly topped up. Good pool area Very good bathroom in the room.

The little curved uphill going to the hotel, we almost had an accident during one of our bolt trip going to the hotel, our bed wasn’t a queen sized bed, they were 2 single beds united and it was a little uncomfortable and lastly the TV is not a smart TV and it had broken speakers so you don’t hear what you are watching

We liked the location since it’s near Bugibba and the busses reaches almost all parts of malta, the hotel staff that helped us whenever we have difficulties touring around and giving us tips on how to see malta at its best. The room is spacious and clean and the best of all is the pool, my kid enjoyed the pool so much

The pool is very clean and the right temperature, comfortable room and beds.

Very clean hotel. Splendid pool as in picture. Pool area needs better tiling especially near the bar as floor is rough and jagged in areas which could be dangerous. Otherwise very lovely all over, staff is super helpful especially Joanne the receptionist.

I didn't like at all that the hotel description said it had a refrigerator and it didn't. When I asked about it, I was told I could rent a fridge (in a rather rude manner). I wouldn't have booked it as I needed a fridge for medicine. Also, while the pool and the restaurant were both good, there is no designated non-smoking area, which meant it was unpleasant for us the last time in the restaurant and we didn't return. There was reconstruction of the hotel, but no work was actually being done. Just looked not nice.

The location was good. The pool was also nice and the food by the pool was really good. The room was mostly OK.

We were pleasantly surprised with our experience staying at the Xemxjia Bay Hotel! We actually live next door in a residential apartment but we're doing some painting and decided to check out the hotel. The room was spacious with a great balcony overlooking the beautiful pool area. Since the hotel was sold, the new owners refurbished and improved the overall look of the hotel to a very acceptable standard. The staff were helpful and very friendly. We can highly recommend a stay here.
